The BPM Festival 2014

Go get you super early bird tickets! They went on sale today

Gonna be my second time. Can't wait!

If you're going, booking a condo is the best bet!

Posted by Special K on Sep-06-2013 17:06:

Hmmmm dunno, I personally like slothing it up like a boss @ an all inclusive

Posted by k_dutchak on Sep-06-2013 17:18:

How much is the 10 day VIP all in? And is that the only ticket you can.buy right now?

Posted by geroin on Sep-06-2013 18:30:

i didn't go last year.. not sure about this year either..

ps. if you don't end up going make sure to disable your facebook jan 04-14

Posted by Mach X on Sep-06-2013 20:53:

Pretty sure I can't afford it this year

BUT, if I were to go, a few questions.

What is the best time frame? All 9 days, go in on a Thursday the 2nd and out on the Monday the 13th. Go right in the middle, catch the beginning or be there for the closing weekend?

If you're doing all inclusive resort with air package which is roughly $1200-$1500 for all 9 nights as I'm seeing it so far. Which is the most ideal location and which hotel/resort are most people using? Don't want to save money and be stuck to far to walk or $$$ cab rides to get to the parties and beaches. Also don't want to be stuck with a bunch of families or honeymooners etc.

Mediocre resort with all inclusive OR condo with buying your own food and booze?

Earlybird wristband and tickets OR go with cash and see what you can do and hustle there?

Argh, so many questions!

Posted by geroin on Sep-06-2013 20:55:

i think all inclusive ends up being cheaper but you do have to cab there and back every day

Have gone all inc three times. There is no better way. Coming back and having a bottle of wine and tacos brought to my room at 5am was awesome.

Went for two weeks all three times. I have done my fair share of the party trips, Ibiza to Vegas and everything in between, nothing beats this.

SOLD!

How much of a hassle is it to get from the resort to the parties?

Posted by Special K on Sep-06-2013 22:25:

Not very,

There are a few resorts in the city that are close to all of the events (short walk away from everything) and some that are further out. So it depends on where you choose to stay really.

If you dont buy a wristband regardless of which one....You'll be in lines and paying 30-70$ / event.

if you're going to go for the full 10 days I say get the wristband now...if you wait its going to be 1000 lol...its already over 500! I've been every year the last 4 years...such a sick time.

Posted by geroin on Sep-07-2013 06:06:

If you are very selective about which parties you want to go sometimes getting a wristband is not worth it, the year I went I spent less money than the wristband but it depends which djs you like and which venues you attend.

Agreed.

It will be interesting to see how much bigger BPM will be from last year, because it keeps growing in popularity every year. The problem is they've run out of clubs to use in Playa, so there could be some very busy parties again.

If you plan to go I'd suggest buying the early bird wrist band now otherwise if you miss out on that then just get individual tickets.

Hassle?? It's $5 bucks and takes 5 mins. Nothing is a "hassle" at all there. Not one bit.

All inclusive is absolutely the way to go. It's so cheap

Posted by k_dutchak on Sep-10-2013 14:34:

I know there is a few resorts very close to the downtown area, but what about the ones a bit further out, is it still cheap/quick to get to where all the parties happen? Is it worth it to try to get one that is close or does it really not matter? Is there not like a shuttle bus that takes you downtown?

Tickets purchsed now just to find a place to stay.

i can't compare since we've never taken the condo route.

However all inclusive was fantastic. Especially on days we rested. $5 bux max taxi ride. No hassle at all! we even walked (20 mins) a couple of times.

Condo route excellent too, lots of choices close to the action and still quiet enough. Just load up on food and booze at the massive Walmart sized supermarket down there and you're set.

Not sure about the guest policy at the resorts but our condo was safe and secure but allowed for guests no prob.

Speaking of which, guest room avail with own bathroom in pretty big condo, PM me for full details.

FUCK!

I'm gonna go buy me a lottery ticket tonight!

I'm thinking about going to BPM over Ibiza/Europe this year. I dont think i can sell friends on buying a week pass, but i can sell them on mexico. Are you guys booking thru expedia or the website itself???

The all inclusives charge for guests in my experience. Understandable, since otherwise they'd be giving free food and alcohol away all the time.

Posted by mindspin1 on Sep-13-2013 12:05:

The condo is fine, but if you want a real vacation go all inc. Honestly who wants to go to wal mart on their vacation and shop?

Trust me on this.

Also anywhere in Palaycar is fine. You don't need shuttles, etc.. If $5 for a taxi one way is too much, you shouldn't be going to this, go to DEMF.

this

we'll probably have guests, lots of friends are talking about BPM. Either option is good depending on what you want down there

one room left (out of three rooms), only a 2 min walk to Kool Beach Club, BPM begins three months to the day today
