Trance vs. Progressive vs. ???

With all the complaining and flaming going on between people of who have different tastes in music. I decided to post a poll.
Let's all vote and see which type of music is dominant on this msg board!

So is it? Progressive? Epic Trance? or some other style of electronic music?

no offense but i think this poll is dumb

i like them both....if deejays play both in a set.....i don't mind. Deep progressive bores me

i dun even know wtf progressive is lol

quite the contrary imo...progressive is awesome to listen to when driving, and its perfect to chill to...trance on the other hand...isn't well suited for chilling at home with your friends.

OK first of it is obvious that people have differing tastes when it comes to music. Even on a board dedicated to trance we have seen that we can get a bit defensive about people "bashing" what we personally like. This of course should not be, as we should all understand that our differences AND similarities is what makes this such a great place.

I personally enjoy all types of trance and other forms of electronica. However, for me straight on TRANCE is what does it for me time and time again. I like "some" progressive but it has to be really good.

Embrace diversity for it is the spice of life. Don't flame someone for liking something you don't.

tech-trance for me! although I like a little of both progressive and epic at most times as well!

Hmm
I am a true trance fan, which means I must dispise progressive.

once in the blue a prog track will make me move, but its usually very boring.

In my humble opinion Progressive falls into the clubby dance or house category. Because the elements that people love about trance are not in that type of music usually.

Looking at
psy trance
goa trance
hard trance
NRG trance
trancecore
epic trance
melodic trance
and ambient trance

I find nothing similar in thoes types of music to progressive except the bass drum.

its gotten really popular in the past 2 years, but it usually brings out people in skimpy clothes and sunglasses, and not thoes who are there to worship the music.

I personally voted for progressive
I really like hard bumping drums with sweeet female vocals...

btw,Time2Burn very good point in your post..... I also like reggae especially when you are dancing with some hot chick....

I voted for trance but I think you should've had a few more options on there. I�m sure there would�ve been quite a few TA who would�ve checked the box beside
