Damn, I don't think Deadmau5 has been to Central Florida since House of Blues in 2009!!!

I want to go to this, Andy/Chris???

I remember when I liked the mau5 years ago. And I remember hoping he'd come around.

I'm not sure whether I want to go now or not. I expect the teenage turds to be in full force.

The good news is that's it's five minutes from my house lol.

I have no shame to say I like his productions.

o, man...I know what hillary and henry highschooler are getting in their stockings for christmas this year... i hope they have a "drop off" lane so mommy and daddy can drop junior and his freinds at the stadium and pick them up before the noise ordinance kicks in at 12:00. I teach high school.. plenty of Deadmau5 shirts in the halls..

but.... i will probably go.. it's outdoors.. Nothing like a cool breeze, what i'm sure will be a great production and hopefully some brazil, alone with you, 1981, or turning point mixed in there. sure, there will be plenty of youngsters but I'm also sure plenty of room in the stands to stay away from them...

I'm sure the show will be dope. He'll play some old productions that I'll enjoy live finally, but surrounding myself with teenie boppers is the biggest turn-off when deciding whether to attend a show. But hey, at least it's 18+ as oppose to the all-ages I was expecting.

I actually wouldn't mind going, I've seen deadmau5 a few times, once in a club, and thought he was really good. His older stuff is sublime, stuff like Faxing Berlin, Complications, Slip, etc.

But yeah, saw him at Amnesia (before it became Story) last year during WMC and have to say he was pretty fucking sick, too bad it was the most packed I've ever seen a club in my life. This was the night you guys went to AvB at Mansion, ha. Don't know much about his newer releases but whatever, I'm sure it'll be a good time, something fun to do in my neck of the woods.

It won't be that bad -- think of it like this, in a stadium, it's unlikely that kids will be bothering you -- no one goes running up and down stadium steps and through rows of seats. You'll be at your seat and will have a little radius in which to dance, same for everybody else.

I actually met some cool people at the Tiesto UCF show in 2010 in the stands. All the kiddies are on the field/floor.

Yea, I went to both Tiesto/UCF shows and opted for the floor each time. As much as I hate being surrounded by the teenage mutant ninja turds, I like dancing close to the stage. Especially when you're talking about the kind of stage production that Tiesto and Deadmau5 bring with them.

I'm gonna go. His old productions are too good to miss live, especially since I haven't had the opportunity to hear them that way.

Wish UCF arena would book more EDM..Tiesto was a blast... Sat mid way up in the stands with a perfect view dead center with plenty of room... one of my favorites! Deadmau5 day will be amazing I'm sure..too many positives about this not to go..

FYI This is not taking place inside the stadium. We are putting up a large north-facing stage in the grass lot north of the stadium like we do for Sunset Music Festival. There will be raised VIP tents to the sides with tables and such but there is no actual seating.

Maybe I'm just stupid but the event says,

An event from 5:30 to Midnight? Isn't that a strange timeslot for an event? Is that because it's on a thursday or something? Zoning issues with sound at an outside venue?

same as all the other events held at this location. sound ordinance in tampa. which is also why the amphitheater at the fair grounds has the same restrictions. my old bones don't mind that time slot but I was hoping to attend with a pregnant wife if it was inside the stadium. not a fan of the dust bowl that is created in a field that is 75% dirt and 25% grass. don't mind me though, I still want to go, just not going to happen.

Any of you going to this?
