Burning an .avi file

Say I had a couple of avi files and I wanted to burn them onto normal CDs to play them on my computer, kinda like a DVD.

How does one do this? I search about and the info i found wasnt much help.

i think i need to extract the audio and covert to mpeg

you can get one program from www.vcdhelp.com that will convert .avi to mpeg automatically... then all you have to do, is burn it!

Hrm... I've got this in a magazine somewhere... i rmember it saying something about just poping it in to ur puter and it playz all by its self hehe ill look around for that article for ya

Why do you want to convert avi's to mpg to burn them? If you want to view them on your computer - burn them as they are, that's it.
