Headliners
Guys, I am looking for a headliner for an upcoming party in Vancouver. I need some ideas who would u guys like to see...world renown DJs like Tiesto and Flemming that has been here before or other world renown like Armin and Ferry thats hasn't been here before. Any suggestion would be great.
I'd like to see Ferry or Armin come to Van, very badly

yeuh
nick fricking warren!!!! or, way out west (nick AND jody) again if possible.
or just jody.
if thats not a big enough headliner, james holden will do..
or paul van dyk
If money wasn't an issue and I could bring only one person to Vancouver, I'd bring Paul van Dyk. If money was somewhat of an issue, I'd go with James Holden. Ferry will be in town in a few months at the next Simple, and Azim was telling me they're booking AvB for their party after that.
Great Input
oh really....Azim didn't mention about Ferry being on Simple this year...but anyway thanks for all your input. Way out west was good when they were here but I think PVD will be my first priority of course. More suggestion is need from all you ravers out there so please more input
If you're looking for a live act to perform then I'd say Faithless. Both times I saw them in South Africa they were incredible.
If DJ only & on the trance style of things:
Paul van Dyk has also been incredible when I've seen him.
One name no one has mentioned is Marco V, how about him?
id definitely see faithless. somehow i dont think they'd be a huge draw for the crowd rayray has in mind though. thats more of a 19+ event?
Widget, Marco V was here in the Spring so bringing him
back so soon wouldn't be a good idea,
--how about XPress 2, Mauro Picotto or M.I.K.E? you'll need to bring a good d'n'b headliner as well though if you wnat to bring a crowd
Marco V
Marco V was awesome when he came to trancegate but I was thinking more of someone that haven't been here before. I never really heard of Faithless maybe I should see if I can get some of their music and check it out. Thanks for the info. Drumb and bass and breaks will probably in the second room of the venue, I was thinking more of trance in the main room.....
If all these "rumours" are true about Ferry and Armin then i'd love to see PVD. He hasn't been here for awhile has he?
Last time PvD was here was 98 or 99 at Sonar. I guarantee you PvD would sell out a show with proper promotion at a plaza party, or of course any smaller venue. He's probably the DJ I want to see the most these days.

so who do u think would sell out my show Corona??
Since I've only been in VC for a month, I have no idea who has been here lately, but DJs that will always draw a crowd:
Paul van Dyk,
Paul Oakenfold,
Carl Cox,
dunno who else off the top of my head, but Paul van Dyk would be a big name & he is good. Otherwise how about someone a bit on the harder side?
Mind-X, Cosmic Gate, DJ Scott Project, Beam & Cyrus (I think one of them DJs), Fergie,
or for something totally different BT or Fatboy Slim.
Otherwise rayray, I can give you some details of South African DJs who have been playing with Oakenfold in UK, Cosmic Gate in Germany if you want. Lemme know.
Paul van dyk has only came to canada once this year, and that was montreal
i mean he is booked to the end of this year already
and so far i have seen nothing for ferry and armin coming to the west coast yet but there is a lot of rumors thats for sure
True, I see that PvD is all booked up so is Johan Gielen in the first place. Spooky 7 will Johan show up?? check out www.johangielen.com. Anyway Widget thanks for all the info. Scot Project was here before and I really like his style but for some people he is too hard. I am really not the one who makes the final decision but PvD will definitely be the first choice and I hope to see you all in the near future if PvD can be booked.
Johan website already show he is book for Spooky 7 when the flyers first came out. As for PvD..he is book up till November......I see a few dates where he is playing in the States so maybe we can work something out with him.....things are still up in the air I hope the guy who makes the decision will decide soon!!!! As for me my work is done....all your suggestions are greatly appreciated and I sure hope whoever is coming will leave great memories for all the 604 party peeps......
when i saw PVD @ Blyss in seattle he wasnt very exciting...........Christopher Lawrence stole the show............
all you guys that are saying pvd hasnt been to canada in so long so bring him, where were you when pvd was in seattle TWICE in one month, last december? it isnt too far of a drive, people from seattle come up all the time to vancouver. i did post both shows in this forum
if you bring him, put him in a club. his set at the showbox was WAY better than his set at a party (kinda like any big trance name it seems tho, different type of set each place)
I really really wanna see PvD again, but not in the Plaza of Nations. The Commodore will be the awesome place to see him.

Why not Blank and Jones, Cosmic gate, Dumonde and Scott bond. All killer dj's.
wouldnt consider seeing any of those guys except scott bond...
Why, Scott Bond is awesome man.
i dont recall seeing any of you guys down in seattle when scott bond was here a few months ago either >_<
ya scott bond's the only one i WOULD go see.. dumonde's ok but not for me
the other guys are brutal!
