Oldest Trance DJs / Producers

I was wondering... How long can a person keep on working with Trance, whether production or DJing, would you keep on going till you're retired at 55+ ?????

taucher is close to 40! he's been producing since like '93, and dj'ing before that i think. pretty long time...

Why not? It doesn't depend on age, it depends on love for the job and the music whether you go on or not (imo)..

I would expect some to say that, I thought that too for a hile, but IMO that's very naive to say... Think about yourself going at it till 60.

Tiesto is 38 I think.....but we all know where he's going!

I think you could probably be a producer longer than a DJ, takes less energy and stuff, and you don't have to constantly travel all the time. That takes a lot out of you.

Dave Ralph is over 40

So what? If you've still got what it takes to be successful, who cares?

Hey we've got a 65 years old DJ in So Paulo. He was on TV one day. So cool, he was mixing and shouting things like "Techno will conquer the world! Get ready for trance!!!"

hehe, it made my day It's a shame I don't remember his name Does anyone Brazilian know about him?

Hmmm only a few "old" ones come to mind:

Dave Ralph
Carl Cox
Oliver Lieb

I'm pretty sure they are all 40+. I'm probably wrong though.

Cool

If any of you are into psy/goa, Kode IV is nearly 60 years old. If you ever get a chance to see him, do so. He is incredible.
