Help me get my boyfriend into trance?
So my boyfriend doesn't listen to trance, but he asked me if I could find him at least one trance song that he'll like. I've already tried the obvious ones, like Silence (Airscape Remix), Flaming June, and Ecuador, as well as newer trance tracks like Cerf, Mitiska, & Jaren, Armin Van Buuren, Oceanlab, and really old tracks like Sunbeam and Nautilus, yet to no avail.
The only things I have to go on is he doesn't like the repetitiveness of instrumentals, all vocal tracks I've tried sound "too monotone", and that his favorite DJ is Manian.
Please help, I am desperate to find at least one trance track that he'll like!
Thank you!
Repetitiveness is part of dance music not just in trance. I personally stopped trying to get people into the genre and I wouldn't call Cerf Mystika and Jaren trance either. It depends what does he like in a track?I don't know what that DJ is he is that Italo dance dj?
idk maybe this?
I wouldn't try to convince someone to like the same music, even just one song. All I can recommend is my own taste, for example:
Or what a lot of other people find popular. With 140,000,000+ views, people really seem to like this trance song:

With all due to respect to your bf but, nicki minaj is not music he must be tone deaf to say trance is not music.
In out of Love is Pop music so he should like that sort of stuff. I guess he must like Dash Berlin's latest pop records too.
Maybe try some of Faithless' anthems (Insomnia, God Is A DJ, Salva Mea, etc.). While not really trance-trance, they do have similar attributes (OMG anthems!), so it could serve as an easier gateway.
Which pills are you using?
Don't bother.
You either get it or you don't. Perhaps his time will come.
Change boyfriend, he sounds like a dick.
Yea as cringe worthy as trance can be, it sounds like your taste in music still a lot better than his.
slip some lsd into his drink and put on some oldschool psytrance. maybe hell like it.
Eurotrash trance brah
Are you kidding me, BREAK UP.
"I'm sorry.. but this isn't going to work out.."
Easy.
If he doesn't like "Not Over Yet" Breeder 99 mix then he won't like anything...
Anyway, here's something catchy, worth a shot:
He should do some pills.

Trance maybe was meant to be emo but definitely not "girly" emo....You could never get me to call some of these "supposed" trance tracks, that are now being labeled as trance, a trance song. DEATH FIRST! Anyway, perhaps you should stay away from the ASOT/TAW/Armada/anjunabeats "boys". They're all kind of wimpy, anyway...Yeah, a few of them made some nice tunes, back in the day, but they all decided to become "womanly" and make some real girly sounding tunes that don't even remotely sound anything like trance. Yeah, some say that this is trance "evolved".. Bullshit. In order to evolve, it must get better, not change completely into Britney Spears type vocal pop music with a house/euro dance undertone....Maybe your man just don't like that girly/wimpy sound. Real men like the German style of trance. Besides, Germany is the country who started the whole trance revolution, in the first place. True, there were non German trance tunes and trance artists, before 1991/1992, but the Germans are the ones who took it to another label. They're the ones who made everyone else want to get into trance. So, think about checking out some of the old school German style of trance. For the most part, their tunes sounds a lot less "girly". However, make sure the tunes are the good underground sounding tunes, because even the Germans make some really girly or uber cheesy tunes...Anyway, your man might like these good underground trance tunes.....Perhaps, you can also introduce him to some of the hard trance....That'll put hair on his chest.
....Oh, don't get me wrong, there were/are producers outside of Germany who have made or still make awesome German style of trance.....A few of them are from the UK and The Netherlands...Their tunes would be put in the German Trance stack.
..Cause of the sound...
Why even bother? So you don't like the same kind of music. My girlfriend listens to like... Ed Sheeran
. Doesn't really affect our relationship though.
Well an update. I'm not going to break up with him since he won't get into trance, that's just ridiculous.
I showed him those tunes, and he didn't really care for any of them, but he didn't seem to mind "Till The Sky Falls Down" by Dash Berlin, which is more pop-sounding like someone else in the thread suggested, so it seems like I'm on the right track!
Anyway, thanks to all the people who gave suggestions, I really appreciate it!
