-- If you were given the opportunity to turn back in time....

If you were given the opportunity to turn back in time....

...what would you do? You are allowed to do (or just see) anything you want to, and it doesn't matter if it will affect your life or the whole history of the world (it's just ONE opportunity, so don't waste it).

Ummm well I think if I could go back in time that it doesn't matter what I do because I'll be instantly going back into another universe alltogether where that event already happened (kind of like that tv show Sliders where everything/anything does happen just in varying alternate universes). Buttttt ok to answer your specific question I would go back in time I would choose to see how they built the Pyramids and then also go back to Ancient Greece (that would be awesome) and also check out the Dinosaurs.

Nothing... I'd live the same way no matter how many times I'd gone back. Without mistakes there wouldn't be a person who I am now, I don't regret anything..

who said anything about mistakes or regrets...

back to the subject, i would want to go back, way back, like biblical times to find out what was historically true and what was just mumbo jumbo

i dont really see a reason to since you've already been there...what's done is done, and what you did or didn't do ultimately made you who you are. and this is in reference to going back to the past as far as regrets or wanting to change things is concerned. sure it would be cool to peek back for learning reasons. i dont really have any desire to go back in time though. the future is much more exciting

Posted by JPJH on Oct-01-2002 13:40:

opportunity being the key word...i would go back into my own life and correct all the mistakes i made this way i would be perfect...hehe just kiddin...seriously i'd rather have the opportunity to see whats in the future..

There is no past.

Whatever has happened has happened and it does not exist in the universe any more, hence you can't go back in time.

perhaps i would travel back to 1989 when trance and techno finnaly

A bit Back to the Future II...

This wasn't a question of ethics or physics, it was a simple question, damn, you people are difficult!

Anyway, I have recently adapted the idea of no regrets, because regrets don't make anything change. However the only thing I would even consider changing would be my relationship with my now Ex, Valerie. I loved her more than a person can imagine for years and she turned out to be a taaaad bit off the deep end. lol. Ummm, I don't know what I would change about that, but I would change it where we are not in the are now (5 states away from each other with our AIM names on block) I dunno, I guess if I could do ANYTHING I'd find out what she wanted of me and do whatever that was. OK, now I'm depressed...nope, can't think about it, won't, ok, happy now

Other than that I'd probally either get shares in Microsoft or would have started DJing in middle school so I'd be in Ibiza by now instead of this hell hole

Would you people would of thought of preventing September 11, 2001?

I'd track back to around June 2001 and July 2001 and inform the authorities. I bet they'd be calling me a psychopath.

I'd also inform any workers inside the wtc. I'd be a hero.

If I could go back in time I would go back to the Roman Empire when the Greeks where starting off right to the fall of the Roman Empire and visit Egypt.

Well what a lot of people would believe is that the instant you change anything in time, the universe splits off in two. The version that you changed will continue onward on its own path. The version as it is now will also continue on its own path. So really you didnt solve anything.

Honestly, id rather stop worrying about the past, since theres nothing you can do about it. A day wasted worrying is just a day wasted, I guess
