Question

This is the very last track that only lasts for about 3 minutes in Ferry Corsten's set at Rosenmontags and it just raises the dead in my opinion. I have been told it is Tony Walker - Field Of Joy but I downloaded that and thats not it. Also the track has been said to be
Kid Vicious - Intearate but I downloaded that and its not it either. Its either track 17 or 18 depending on how you break up his set. I love this song and would really like to know its name and author. Check it out if you have not heard it already! Its a crapy sample but you can at least get a feel for it. Thanks!

Question

I just went on Napster and downloaded every possible version of Tony Walker - Field of Joy and I hate to disagree but unless my mind is leaving me, the song in the sample I posted in this thread and all versions of Field of Joy sound nothing like each other. I downloaded the original and the Ferry Corsten mix. Somebody please listen to the sample and then immediately listen to Field of Joy and tell me they are the same song. If the sample I posted is indeed Field of Joy, then what mix is it because its one that I cannot find. This only ever happened to me one other time. One of my all time favorite tracks is at the end of Digweed's Essential Mix on 5-16-99 called The Rising Sun by Heller and Farley. I go to Napster to get other versions of the song thinking they will at least sound similar. I download The Rising Sun Danny Tangalia Mix and it was like black and white. It sounded nothing at all like Digweed's did in his EM. Maybe this is the same thing happening again.

i told u
it isn't original or ferry corsten mix
its FLutlicht mix..
u'd be lucky if u can find it on napster..

Posted by Trancealot on Apr-20-2001 18:48:

well no luck for me this song been out for about a full week on viynl have not seen mp3 around anywhere--if you have it ripped or mp3 form please reply.

Cool

Thanks again I freaked out too soon. You are right its impossible to find on Napster. I guess I can just stick with listening to it in Ferry's set. Flutlitch or however you spell it really did a transformation on that song for the better.

It is spelled "Flutlicht" = german for floodlight, as infinity said above. They did some other cool tracks and remixes on Planet Traxx Records.

Infinity you said you had this tune on vinyl and everything...well to break it to you i just got the Flutlicht rmx of Tony Walker Field of jOy...and its nothing like the last song from Rosemontags rave..... its just like the original with the flutlicht hard beat and synths!!!...... the last song is some other song

Posted by trancoduck on Apr-28-2001 03:51:

i dont think its the tony walker - field of joy (flutlicht mix)... i just got that vinyl and it doesnt really sounds like it... i'll try to rip it and upped it somewhere...

Posted by trancoduck on Apr-28-2001 03:55:

actually, i think en-motion had something to do with that song, the style of the song sounds little bit like free radical - surreal (en-motion mix)... i could be wrong...

Posted by trancoduck on Apr-28-2001 04:33:

oops, i mean e-motion, not en-motion... P

I thought it was Free Radical - Surreal (En-Motion mix)....not e-motion........ En-motion is Thrillseekers....i was listening to the song ...i dont think it sound like the last song of the set...but it really sounds like Insigma - Open our Eyes thats in the set also!!

Posted by trancoduck on Apr-28-2001 08:51:

oh... so it is en-motion then, cuz everywhere i check it just said e-motion, so i thought it was e-motion, my fault P no, i dont think it was surreal too, i just thought the song has similar style... like how the songs build up and stuff... )

Posted by patticus on Apr-28-2001 09:35:

you guys are silly.
its en motion (no dash)
as in free radical - surreal (en motion mix)
and
en motion - truth

i am going to listen to this track because you've all hyped it up.

Posted by patticus on Apr-28-2001 09:37:

i have now listened to it. heard several times before..
wasnt this the ferry corsten mix...? but its definitely field of joy

en motion has nothing to do w/ this, not their style really (different synths)
i wish they did though

Posted by breakdown on Apr-28-2001 11:47:

lol
its
Tony Walker - Field of Joy (Flutlicht Mix)

Enmotion - Truth (pulser mix) is totally different.. and totally quality

Dude... I have Tony Walker - Field of Joy (Flutlicht mix)...doesnt sound at all like the last song of Ferry Corsten Live@Rosemontags Rave at all!!!!....the song doesnt even sound like a flutlicht mix from the start with ...... all Flutlicht songs have one thing in common very hard kick beat and signature synths! ...that last song doesnt even sound like them........ it might be the System F mix of Tony Walker - Field of Joy which is on the B side of the vinyl...i havent heard that mix yet..but people have told me its the same version as Ferry Corsten Mix...so cant be that either!!!!

Posted by Glaniskanis on Apr-28-2001 17:03:

You can download a sample from
Tony Walker - Field Of Joy (Flutlicht Remix) here: http://www.only-djs.com/AUDIO/VINYL_3024_a1.mp3

I think it's very different to the sample so it's likely that it's not Tony Walker - Field Of Joy (Flutlicht Remix).

Please somebody ID this song, I'm totally hooked to it.

Glaniskanis

I looked for that song actually no luck. Anyone got it you know if it is or not unless you got bad ears??

Posted by Glaniskanis on May-01-2001 22:09:

I got a mail from Purple Eye Entertainment (The owner of Tsunami Records, Ferry's (System F) label).
They don't know the record so they can't help us any further

BTW They wish us good luck searching for the song.

Greetz,
Glaniskanis

Posted by CitrixSCU on May-02-2001 04:11:

Well, we have determined that it is definitely NOT flutlicht, ferry, or orginal mixes of Tony Walker - Fields Of Joy. I may be off...but it sounds kind of like Transa.
I'll be back with more later.
