So I got hit by a car today...
yep... my girlfriend picked me up from work and we came back to my place. there was this car ahead of us. it looked like the driver was looking for guest parking (i live in a townhouse). so we pull into a spot and start walking to my place. now, there is kind of an intersection thing that we come to. we see the car on our right stopped. we figure that he sees us so we start to walk, then he moves a bit so we stop...then he stopps. so i start walking and outa nowhere he just turns and starts driving towards us. i put my arm out and kinda push my gf away to the right and the asshole runs into my right leg and i almost go flying over his hood... i somehow manage to stay standing and relatively calm.
i was ok, my knee hurts a little but whatever... see... when shit like this happens it kinda pisses me off that im so calm all the time. i should have exploded and reemed the muther ****** out hardcore. but i stayed super calm while my gf ran back to my place freeking out (she lost her dad in a truck crash)... i dunno... i just needed to vent and write this whole thing out. i think i did the right thing by staying calm and all... i dunno... just wanted to share.
oh...one last thing... i think i should be allowed to say muther ****** in a situation like this, all you mods take note

if i were in ur place, although im relatively tolerant with people and dont like to fight, i wouldve started punching the fuck out of not him but his car......
ive cycled head on into moving cars before but of course that was my own fault ...it was hilarious to fall face flat on the windshield and look at the driverone on one..lol
anyway
i gotta sleep now so i can wake up tomorrow
Aw man, I'm glad nothing too serious happened to you. I've had assholes cappingmy knew while IW as crossing and intersection (green for me) and the bastard wants to right turn and clips my knew. I did tell him to fuck off tho.. which felt good, consideringthis was the day I was going back to germany for the first time coming here (92).

I hope your gf is ok now, it must've been shocking for her too.
I don't know what I would've done if something like this happened to me.

you know what i hate? people that don't stop at stop signs! some people don't even bother to slow down and look! I've come close to being hit by a car, but hasn't happened yet.
You should at least write down the bastard's liscense plate. Who know's you might sustain an injury that will arise a few days from now. Hey it happens, I've heard stories before. Best of luck to you man.
always go see a doctor....very soon after something like this because they document it and if you want to sue the driver....later...you have proof of the injury.
im not sueing.. im pissed but im not taking legal action. what happened was an honest mistake. im not trying to lessen what did occur but thats what it was. im perfectly fine... except for the fact that i want to break the guys face... lol..
im glad ur okay. U probably did best staying calm, and im sure the dude will be more careful in the future. And as tta said, u shud definitely go to the doctors. Not just for sueing reasons, but its always possible that u are internally injured, like hav a blood clot or summing. Its not a serious injury if stopped rite away, but if left for weeks can be fatal. Just a thought.

I live on Steeles and Kennedy (Markham-Scar) one of the most dangerous intersections in TOronto and i almost get hit crossing the greenlight when heading to the bus stop every day , it's totally crazy.. pedestrians just don't have the right of way these days..
in more stupid news.. i hit a parked car while riding my bike when i was 11 cuz my bangs were too long .. :P

month ago i was almost in the same situation, i got hit by a car, the car driver was so fucking drunk, that he doesnt even undestood what has he done 
i called police, so they cought him and then that moron payed me a lot of money (thats the only good thing in this story)
did the jerk ask if you were ok?
that makes me mad.... i saw a mini-van hit a child at a Crosswalk, yes a crosswalk...... the kid pushed the button and all and the van stopped and then sped up agian......hit the kid, stopped, the kid got up and then the van drove away......
i was too worried about the child to get the vans licence plate- as i should have because the driver didnt get out and gotten the l'll old police involved, it was a hard blow too....and it really scared the child
anyhow, in your situtation, the driver should have stopped, what a #$$%E#$%- you have right of way anyways....... glad your ok, hope your girlfriend feels better
