Is Armin Van Buuren NYE in Playa del Carmen worth the 130 for floor ticket?

Trying to decide if I want to go to this not sure if I can substantiate $130 for beach dance floor .. not that much more than most other nye events but when comparing digweed, richie hawtin, and others all with between $10 and $40 tickets at BPM festival later in the week. I'm really not sure if I want to lay down the money when that is a lot of food or electronic gadgets.

Is it worth it?
VIP is like $300 not sure what that entails other than not being beach. Tiesto last year had a pretty crazy light show but only like 2 tracks I really got much out of. Can't make up my mind.

I have yet to see Armin live.. is it worth it? Anyone been to Armin night its been like a decade I'm geussing most people on here have an opinion.

It's nice of the mental institution you live at to let you go out sometimes.

I don't start my new program until January, and I've been at my place since I had convocation for my B.A.

I'm really not sure how I should respond to such a stupid statement, Alex. Any suggestions?

None the less if you have suggestions on whether I should shell out the 1800 pesos for AVB or not let me know.

How much are other peoples NYE events running them or are you all stayin in this NYE?

I am messing with you. I am also crazy. I would advise not sitting naked in a dark room while turning the lamp on and off.

Sorry man I am "very sane". The problem is I am non conformist, in general. Lots of power trippers trying to run peoples lives out there and tell them how to live their lives. All cult BS. but no I am very sane and am uninhibited. You just need to see the barrier between stupid expectations and reasonable non offensive behaviour. Sadly its hard to make everyone happy. Too many A-Holes in positions of power trying to manipulate and oppress others for their own selfish reasons.

What is with the turning the lamp on and off thing. I don't follow what you are saying.

It is so hot here it is hard not to be naked. The light helps find things so chances are its going to go on and off occassionally.

Care to explain in more detail?

No, of course not. Even if you like ye olde AVB, he's been unspeakably awful for at least 8 years now. For $130 it had better be the best party you've ever been to.

(Its actually bit more than 130, vip is like 250... none the less I listen to AvB on Sirius and I hear the odd track I like. Ha, the best parties I've ever had have been in my dreams.

I dunno its not ridiciulously expensive but it is 9 large Pizza expensive. I went to the playboy party last year in cancun and it was like $100 but it was open bar, I think Paul Van Dyke the year before across the street at city was like $60 or $80 open bar - however BPM festival tickets are way less this year.. although no sven vath and others.

None the less I have the feeling if this were $100 I probably already would have got the ticket. I'll also be locked in school until atleast the fall probably maybe for 3 years up to 5 year or more.. without traveling its pretty much my last chance for a "major party" nye as far as I can tell while I still am remotely not massively ancient.

I'll also be in a place where there are no parties of this sort... in northern ontario where there is only like I think one really small venue that is empty, and everyone listens to rock.

Definitely "very sane".

the other option is seeing tiesto at liv for 50 grand.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Dec-21-2013 01:13:

Fuck me, you're getting ripped off hard over there. The hottest NYE party in the UK this year is Sasha's Last Night On Earth Party at Brixton Academy. The most you can pay is 45 for a ticket, and for your money you get to see this merry bunch of bastards:

Sasha (midnight set)
Guy Gerber
Ellen Allien
Nic Fanciulli
Deetron
Hot Since 82
Laura Jones
Ejeca
ThermalBear
Lee Brinx

To be fair, Jack, you do live in music heaven.

Does that come with bottle service

Wow, think about those MFs. To be fair that is a table for 15 (so like 3k a person lwtf) that is 3 times the price of table at cancun with bottle service. high class mfs

Think how much coke those people must be moving. -- and or artists, business people and political aficionados.

The hilarious part is the $4000 service charge ontop of the 50k..

I don't get these service charges they all vary and it makes no sense how they come up with the number.

Even from your posts on this forum, it is glaringly apparent you are extremely poor at picking up on subtext, implied meaning and emotional states of others in general. Your actions and behaviour are often wildly inappropriate or out of keep with the social situation and yet you seem unaware of this disparity. You are also prone to rambling, poorly-reasoned trains of thought. All of this suggests that your frequent clashes and problems with authority are not because you're choosing not to conform, despite your delusional post-rationalisation, but because you're incapable of understanding exactly what conformity would entail in a given situation, even when it would be necessary. I would say an inability of an individual to function in society due to cognitive abnormalities or deficiencies is a good working definition of "mental illness". You may believe that you're acting perfectly acceptably and assholes are just oppressing you, but that's because you can't work out what acting normally is.

And c'mon. You post disturbing, sinister naked pictures of yourself to strangers without being prompted. You write impenetrable nonsense-essays that climax with a capslocked exhultation of KILL. FIGHT. DESTROY. You're contemplating paying $130 to see Armin Van Buuren. You're clearly insane.

Shove it up your ass ******. Why don't you nag someone else.

You are clearly an asshole. Can we move on now.

Like I said its a bit more than $130 which is not that much for a NYE event. That is like 1 day of work for a once a year party and a once a lifetime event of a producer and dj you have heard some good music and pirated for a decade. $130 is almost fair.

Also if you don't mind send me all your personal details such as real name address and other personally identifying details if you don't mind.

You are the deluded one.

Why don't you learn manners. You are the socially incompetent one jerkface. Going around insulting people for expressing themselves freely. Have you thought perhaps your social expectations are a bunch of bullshit? Maybe I don't like your values, ever think that? Ever see the world with your head outside your ass?

People here are hardly strangers, and I wasn't the first one to post a nearly naked pic of myself for the record. You don't know shit, now fuck off.

This. I've paid up to 50 dollars for Tiësto. You know why?!

BECAUSE THAT'S ALL THERE IS HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF NO-BLEEDING-WHERE!

Posted by Lagrangian on Dec-21-2013 01:49:

He believes he's worth that much; ceteris paribus; supply & demand laws hold. He has a TOP40 single, that brings a lot of demand for his shows. Touring at XYZ a night must be his cash-cow.

The managers up their prices to make a profit on a per ticket basis + whatever drugs they sell that night.

Yes, I brought it up and discounted it in the post you just quoted. Have you ever confronted your own explanations for why the world treats you like it does, and considered the possibility that you may be lying to yourself?

And I don't think I'll be sharing my address with you, Buffalo Bill. I'm quite possessive when it comes to my skin.

EDIT: And stop editing your bloody post. It's starting to resemble the opening crawl from Star Wars.

$50 aint' that bad.

$46 with service charge Adam Beyer, Gaiser & more
WISDOM OF THE GLOVE w.Guy Gerber & more 34.50 with service cahrge
$46 CIRCO LOCO w. Seth Troxler & more

comparitively digweed is a $23 ticket this year.

$50 for tiesto is probably an average price I think his tickets were the same as AVB last year about like $120 or something.

Posted by Lira on Dec-21-2013 01:58:

All right, I'm going to spill the beans.

System-J lives in the UK. If I recall correctly, he's in Cape Town. I wish I could remember whereabouts in the UK that is...

I guess you can work on this though, Chew, best of luck!

It is in Brazil. That's a tenth of a minimum wage, actually.
