Who would you put on Mount Rushmore?
I'm not American but mount rushmore is a tourist attraction with 4 presidents' faces immortalized on a mountain.
Tiesto
Paul Oakenfold
Pete Tong
Deadmau5
Even by your standards Matt this is a laughably obvious troll attempt.
Jon The Dentist
DAVE DRESDEN
Kris Wadsworth

Teddy would've been a kick-ass DJ if he was still alive...

Mount Rushmore sucks and anyone who has been there would know that. Its really lame. You have to drive way off the highway, through some honky tonk old style gift shop town and drive another few miles to a large parking lot. Just to walk down some granite walkway with more giftshops to see the not so cool faces on the side of a somewhat small rockface. I mean it was cool to see and all but the ride to get there for what it ultimately ended up being made the overall meh.
So the OP list works well.
Was this thread really that bad? Damn.

I wouldnt consider Deadmau5 a terrible pick at all. His impact on the industry was almost on the same scale as Tiesto's and matched by very few.

I don't think it's THAT bad. I've been hearing a lot of people talk about mount rushmore lists within the context of sports the last year or so. that said, i don't know what i would do.
danny tenaglia, derrick may, frankie knuckles and dj pierre need to be chiseled on there... why would you pick non-americans?!
Yeah, I know they have to be natural americans. we gotta make things more interesting though
I'm still sticking with Oakenfold, Tiesto, and Deadmau5. Nothing against Pete Tong but I begrudgingly have to go with Armin Van Buuren. yeah it's a popularity contest but that's my 4.
what's more interesting... some douche who wears a mouse helmet, or the very people who helped shape dance music into what it is today?!
it's easy to antagonize someone who looks like a troll on stage. I'm not saying he's untouchable and can't be argued out of mount rushmore. all I'm saying is that his sound and persona laid out a blueprint that the whole EDM craze stemmed from.
alright, I think my original picks aged badly, although I still stick to the first two.
In no order:
Paul Oakenfold - Exported the Ibiza culture back to the UK in 1987.
Tiesto - The first DJ to hold a stadium concert in 2003 when he performed for 25,000 people in the Netherlands.
Larry Levan - Recognized as the first successful DJ due to his residency at Paradise Garage in New York in the late 70's and 80's.
Giorgio Moroder - The father of disco who pioneered electronic dance music in the 70's with his use of synthesizers, which influenced the formation of house music.
This thread was six years too late when you made it, for the Dutch already colonized Mount Rushmore in 2007 (yes, it's in the Wiki).
