On their 2nd birthday I spent 9 hours at the front, my ears were ringing for about a day and a half.

It says on the flyer I've got "note from october Promise will open till 4am" yet I went yesterday and it wasn't I think Newcastle is gradually moving in the right direction as regards licensing though, things are slowly becoming a bit more liberal, but the council is still run by old farts who don't understand or embrace the partying mentality of the city.

I need to find this weekly pre-party thing they have, cos I find it way too short a night out. I'm also sick of paying for taxis home - when it finishes at 4 we chill out at the 24hr cafe for three quarters of an hour and get the first metro home. The food/drink is well expensive like but it still saves a few quid

I think to keep my finances decent for the NEC Ill have to give this a miss. Quality night it'd b aswell but I think I mite go to Goodgreef at Tall Trees for a bit of crack

yeh i heard about that cafe! is it that one in the life centre? coz it was open after gki and i was shocked! also i know what u mean about the council being more liberal and letting promise be open til 4! i think it needs that, as an extra hour means its up their with the big boys as far as far as how long its open for goes!

It's quite a way from the Life Centre this one; it's near the Haymarket metty station. Across the road from the main bus station, near where that girl was found murdered last week I think after a night out. Alternatively, walk past hippy green and under Eldon Square and turn right and walk towards haymarket - you can't miss it.

Some nights it has people in suits sitting having a pizza at 5 in the morning But most Sat mornings it just has mashed clubbers and pissheads.

The bar in life centre is called "Twist" I just remembered, I pass it everyday to college (I go to Newcastle College now, trying to resit my 2nd yr A levels). I've never been in though; it looks a bit yuppy-ish
