Airwave - Zen City
Airwave has been on fire for quite some time now. With the exception of Fuji i think i liked pretty much everything he has put out lately.
This new track is worth checking out for those into this kind of sound (should appeal to the usual suspects). Dark, groovy and hypnotic.
Out soon on JOOF/L*C*D Recordings.
What do you think?

Likin this
the tribal samples are awesome
loving his new style. yea it is kinda weird to see him make this slower prog stuff on a consistant basis instead of his more older bonzai sound. but he has a good thing going. and his dj mixes complement this sound as well. solid dj and producer
not bad
Sounds totally uninspiring, at least to me.
btw, listening in a better headset and omg, the production is so rich, so many good things happening at the same time.

It sounds better than the cheese/ shitty big room bangers that released by Armin/ASOT/Armada and his buddies and other guys who are past their prime.
Sounds like a prog house version of an old Oliver Lieb track, really nice! I don't really like his new style however, i prefer his trance stuff..
Well, i'm glad he returned to a sound that reminds me of his older stuff, but with a bit updated sound.
I remember buying Believe in 2002 and i was instantly hooked on his stuff and followed him for years.
However, i kinda lost interest around 2005/2006. Touareg and Trilogique didnt really live up to my expectations (even though there are some great tunes there as well)... it wasnt until Dark Lines/Bright Lines i found my way back, and i have to say these days he's making some of his best tunes in many years (Wrath Of Tambora, Cathedrals of Hope & Atlas Winds being my favorites of the pack).
I was afraid the collaboration with JOOF would result in a bit more "psy"-oriented stuff but was relieved this wasnt the case (except for Fuji which i really didnt like).
Keep it up!
It's a solid track - although I think these cinematic tribal drum samples are going to wear thin really soon.
Really like this track.
B-side called "The Kick and The Piano" can be listened to here:

A softer track with a really pleasant part in the middle. Not bad. I feel like it's missing something, but at the same time i think it'll grow on me.

i like the direction of this. tribal instruments are indeed awesome. glad he dropped that all encompassing penetrative kick (for this track at least) that he was all about the last time i checked (admittedly a while ago, that really put me off him) for a softer, more natural one... much better.
got a classic green martian vibe at the one minute mark
very good work. airwave interest re-piqued.
Really proggy, can't accurately judge it on home speakers from my armchair.
I'm sure I'll hear it out, then we'll see how it goes.
Prog bores the shit out of me when I'm at the desk, lots of it is surprisingly fun at a party though.
