Im surprised it has that little, the track was played more than a slut last year(2013) .

if it helps he probably bought 60 million out of that number.

Very young, 17, well supported by DJ's, popular song, no1 in UK, massive media attention.

It also seems like he got a big promotional crew behind him, the promotional side of things is much more important than the actual music nowadays.

did you know that Mark Otten is his music teacher?

Yes, because he's Teacher in Music Production at the Herman Brood Academie and Martin is learning to become a producer over there.

Yeah, that's crazy! it's like if you found out Vincent De Moor is teaching Dimitry Vegas.
I mean how can a student of Mark Otten make this kind of music and more importantly: how in the world is 'Animals' 1000x more successful than 'Mushroom Therapy'??

thats the real smh.

With all the people following the EDM train, there's now more people to buy in to the hype. Can't believe that tidbit on Mark Otten...Mushroom Therapy was awesome.

No, I don't see any relation between the track and the study to be honest. I saw an interview in November where Martin said his classmates produce in other genres e.g. hiphop.
Martin is just one of the students and Mark happen to be the teacher. It's not that Martin is Mark's pupil or something IMO. You can make music without any education, but Martin also wants to study in order to get more knowledge and skills which can make him better.
