caprati warehouse party, bang on, and this all on one night

Posted by CarS on Mar-19-2014 03:29:

here's a song lyric that just popped into mind:
"two out of three aint bad!"

I'm doing this, and Capriati when Zero's out....

But you're right, BankOn! looks interesting, and there's a ton of other great stuff this weekend.
(their boombox truck at Camp was always fun too...)

IMO, Zero gets the nod, because the whole SvT crew isn't around like that much...

venue info out, updated listing.
cool, great space, the Wisdom of the Glove venue, like...

I convinced like 4 people to go to this. Turns out I might not go now. I really want to check out verboten- magda, bill patrick, jozif. Reasons: Price difference + I really don't want to get all dressed up for the masquerade, and feel like a party pooper for going in a t-shirt and white zoro mask. Who knows what I will end up doing. Between this, Verboten, Seth Troxler, Capriati and Marco Carola, its mind blowing.

paint, costumes, bangles, trinkets, you name it, I feel no different about those than I do about the sit-down we've been discussing.

in fact I like that shit even less, because it's all night, and totally inconveniences you while dancing.
so, I'll definitely be a party pooper there
maybe I'll wear a tie-dye, costume enough?

insande indeed, and you didn't even list all of this weekend...
but from the artists / label present viewpoint, if you decide by what you have the least likelyhood of getting a second chance sooner than later, most of the others will be back much sooner than this, so that makes deciding much easier imo.

plus the venue is nice, no one had a bad word after WotG that I saw...

this looks like a good one. i like the masquerade addition to it as well.

that BangOn party is looking tits though with that lineup.. oliver $ and robert james there's a slim possibility i just might end up at this party *crosses fingers*

when do your plans gel for sat?

at HC/NW fri?

Posted by djnoonstar on Mar-20-2014 20:10:

Cars, got your mask?

Just saw this in an email...

MASKS ARE MANDATORY... this is a masquerade after-all, ideas and inspirations: tuxedos, ball gowns, playa costumes, stars, the cosmos, black and white and red.

around sometime midday on Sat I'll know the deal. As for Friday, I'm going to Liquid Love 'soul' party. Going to try something different out and friend convinced me to go and check out Jacky Sommer, whom she's been raving about.. plus, it's free so why not.

Will you be wearing on mask on Sat or what's the deal?

Saw this as well.. I guess, I've needed one for awhile now? Damn costumes.

mask:

Obviously I think that shit is stupid.
of course I don't have one, who the hell does?

But for real, no time to get one, the burbs don't make it that simple.
anyway, anyone wanna bring a loaner for me if you have a spare?

Otherwise, see their comments on RA, i asked about it there already

...getting in with one doesn't mean you're gonna wear it much, right?

yo everyone so I'm going to this, my friend convinced its going to be a once in a lifetime event. if you wanna meet up there PM me for my number!

Best place for Masquerade masks is Halloween Adventure in Union Square - great finds for $15-$20.

holy sheeet!
this was the one of the night not to miss, imo.
as good as the AME 8h set I saw last month (and that aint no faint praise of course)

crowd was good too, nothing offensive except for one dude who kept backing into me for the photo-rounds.
you couldn't even yell at him or threaten him, so E'd up, just kept smiling, lol

but that sound from the SvT crew, damn.
hope we get Koletzki or Braemer back soon.

Their AP looked great too, wish I could've gone

1896, and that city loft BLK used 2 weeks ago, good to be in those types of spaces again, and no cop problems at all (ditto at Capriati's warehouse on the waterfront, was told Liebing played there some time back...)

Afterhours was dope!!! SVT's HVOB (which stands for her voice over boys I guess) played a masterful live set, almost on henry saiz' level. Beautiful productions.
