Arrow Feedback/Constructive Criticism Welcomed: Saira (Original Mix)

Hi guys,

At my wits end with this one. Hoping someone with more knowledge and experience could help guide me to get a...more enhanced sound? I don't know. Help me out here. Be nice.

Love the sounds in here, some great synth work going on. Would suggest though maybe you need to work on your melody progression. 4:47 sort of area I feel like your really close to something great melody wise. If you messed around a bit with the elements you have there, it could be something really nice. I can relate to you being at your wits end, ive been there, you've simply just got to keep at it if you think you may have something. Mixing wise things sound pretty good. Hope ive been helpful, keep at it

You really have some neat sounds in there. The melody that comes in around 2:22 should be sidechained, it dominates the mix and and pulls the listener out of the groove. I'm not a fan of the clap on the kick there either. The rest of the melodies are nice, however. Try panning our your synthesizers to give your mix a wider sound. Stereo imaging, perhaps. The bass should be mono in the middle, and the pads widened out to give them a nice aired out feeling. Filling out the space horizontally is very important for a professional sound. The bass on its own isn't adding to much to the entire track. Try adding a more exciting mid-bass to give more rhythm to your track. Layering is key.

Check out my track if you'd like as well,

Thanks mate. Appreciate u taking your time to listen. I will try out every suggestion on this thread one by one. Cant agree more with you on the bass. Basslines are my major weakness. Thankfully, my melodies are ok. I had some concerns over maintaining the groove throughout the song too, i think a lot of it boils down to the weak bassline.
