Acid Stab sound similar to this?

Hi all,

I've been trying to figure out an acid stab sound similar to 0:24 in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...orP_bYYHVg#t=21

I'm not getting very close and am wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction to get something close? Thanks for any advice!

What synth are you using? To me, it sounds like a regular acid sound ran through some distortion.

Make a basic 303 patch with a saw and a square wave, set the filter to low pass, the filter cutoff to about 11 o'clock, and the resonance to 3 o'clock. Add delay and reverb to your liking and adjust the cutoff and resonance values to get the desired didgeridoo effect.

You can also link your velocity to filter cutoff to get some nice squelches.

Try gating the vocal, the effect in the song has a certain pattern behind it, easy to hear. Also don't forget the panning.
