Catching Up

Hey, how are you guys? I see some updates on facebook but I'm not really a facebooker at heart so I miss a lot of news. I thought maybe we could all check in here... post an update...

I'm working hard these days... I have a new home in Denmark but I see it once in a blue moon, if I'm lucky. I spend most of my time away from home (usually in China, Russia, northern Africa) and now, I'm back in central California. I need to defend my thesis so I'll be officially Ms Echo PhD haha. Dr. Echo!

The only TAs I still communicate regularly are Meg (Sisterbliss), tryp2nite, and CD (Nou). Meg married my brother a couple of years ago. She's pregnant now so hopefully, I'll be an aunt soon. Trip is still in Palo Alto. He's now a post doc (so yeah, we call him Dr. Trip). CD's taking two classes... does he still post here on TA?

Ian drops me a line once a year. He's lost a lot of weight and is working in a hospital. Mikael (Lacks) is making lots of cool beats and sounds which I listen to on Soundcloud. His account is:

Well PKC seems to be in love with me since roughly 50% of his recent posts are about me. I've started djing again recently after a 2 year hiatus. In about 2-6 months time I expect to be getting some small progpsy gigs.

I am ta's first millionaire. famous for making 30 k in one day while I feed peasants outside my toronto loft with left over Kobe steak. I also dunked over a black guy the other day and made him taste these white nuts. Living life in the fastlane.

Bieber and I drag raced the other day and he got arrested. Drake keeps blowing up my phone about girl advice. Thats all thats new with me

Actually they repealed the one-child law quite recently, or at least relaxed it, making it legal for parents who are lone-children themselves to have more than one kid.
It was a pretty big news story in all major news outlets, so for missing that one.
Not that it's gonna stop you from trying to be funny, though.

When's the last time IGK actually made someone laugh? When he was dropped on the head as a child?

None of that applies to me. I'm a Canadian national. I can have 20 if i want to. I'm the one that foots the bill for school/hospital/blabla so no one cares. The Chinese can have as many kids as they want. They just have to pay a penalty for every additional one. In a country this populous, with a huge segment not paying into public service/infrastructure, I would say it isn't a completely insane policy. A few other countries could benefit from it.
