"Conversation with God"

I've heard many Christians say that they have had a conversation with god, and that they talk to God, and he talks back.

Any Christians out there in TA that want to share their conversations with God?

just curious, cuz it sounds like bullshit to me.

Me too, althought I used to be a christian until recently.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain how the universe has been created, how all these coincidences happen in life, and why I still haven't got a Ferrari

I can talk to God.

I know the answer for the Ferrari: have you ever tried to get into a car dealer and warmly ask for one? If you don't try, you don't get

A few month ago i went up to my priest... (Had to call him and ask where the church was located) and told him "I don't believe in god, i don't want to be a member of the danish church and i don't want to pay church taxes anymore"

Then as i walked out the church everybody was staring at me like i was walking hand in hand with satan.

Jep

Why should i be a member of something i dont belive in and why should i pay for something i dont believe in?

Havent been to mess for 7 years now, i didn't even know where the church is located, so i really dont see why i should be a member.

I think its bullshit too. I think its just human conscience where they know what is good for themselves deep down but dont always listen to themselves. Basically i think when people say they are talking to god, they are talking to themsevles.

Also, why do people always refer to god as HE, why not it or she?

I've never heard of that, but you should check this site out... do it honestly, get in the right mindset and watch the video from start to end... don't start it with the idea that it's going to be bullshit. It has nothing to do with proving anything, but the video conveys quite a good message. Start with the right mindset and you will enjoy it, I promise you.

I suspect this is a result of their subconscious realization that no rational justification for their beliefs exists. The result is that their mind believes it has to justify those beliefs, and so it constructs a "conversation" between the subconscious and the conscious minds to allow a person to rationalize their otherwise irrational faith.

I got an idea... since your're such an expert on the topic, why don't you list some arguments FOR the existence of God, and some against.

I'm not talking Christianity here, just God in general.
