Love Poundin' Sensation How Do You Mend A Broken Heart?

Hey everyone
I have a question. How do you mend a broken heart? My guy and I broke up about a month and a half ago not because we wanted to but because we had to. He says long distance doesn't work? We're still good friends but it kills me every time we talk and sometimes when we do I don't think he's even all the way there. How do you all deal with heart aches?

how do you deal with heartaches. You cant be human or get yourself brainwashed. Emotions make us human, most of the time is wonderful but other times its not so great.

Just takes time. I know it sucks, but I would avoid talking to him till the emotions die down a bit. If you keep talking. One person is going to move on before the other and that hurts more then the breaking up did.

I'm in the exact same situation, just do things that would take ur mind off him. spend more time with friends and just learn to be single again. the problem with me is, i forgot how to be single and often make a ass of myself...

yah..when your long distance..keep enjoying each others company. If one person moves on like don't flaut it in the other person's face. You both we in good company when you known each other and can be when your far away.

stop looking for happiness and fulfillment outside of yourself. if u do, u will never find it simply because u're looking in the wrong place.

it's all within you. happiness is sumthing that is released, not found.

The human heart is like glass. When it breaks! it breaks for good.

You can patch it back together and pretend it's normal again.
And it kinda looks healed from a distance. But if you take a closer look you can see all the scars.

*sigh*

well, i was about to crack this awesome joke from Dog soldiers, a movie i saw this summer, it owns, but seeing that have a real problem, i will not do this.

I have done the long distance thing once for a short amount of time, it does not work. And there are a couple of things, which will get u back on track:
1. change in enviroment: Go out, have fun, meet with friends
2. alcohol dis-solves all problems
3. time

I was messed up for about two months, then I went 'home' (different country) and figured out that there is more to life.. like music and heck, I had the summer of my life. Yeah, I still miss her, but i am over her now, I think

good luck

You mend a heart with tape and love or let it heal on it's own.. or don't get into those positions and don't get it broken at all.

You havn't lived till you've loved.

And there's no such thing as love without hurt.

I know how you feeling right now djcapshaw. I didn't break up with my girlfriend or anything but yeah...I told a girl how I felt about her and what did I get for answer? "I only see you as a friend. Nothing more." That really made me sad and I still am right now but I know that I can't force her to like me. I dont want to anyways, whats love if its bein forced..anyways, sorry about the jabbering but just give it time...time is the answer here..

*shrug*

Maybe you should tell him how you feel. Either that or just cut off all communication with him till you can deal. Postpone the drama until you're ready.
