Last one was prob. the worst in-week clusterfuck / line-wait at Output since they opened, but what a night!

I made a comment about how Cox should maybe play a weekend since all he's done at output on wednesdays. Some girl on there told me he doesn't play on the weekend cuz he doesn't like big crowds. Yeah, cuz the Carl Cox & Friends Megastructure is a small venue.

If you go to Outputs website and look up the day. You can see its listed on upcoming events.

Yeah seriously - I love love CC but in six years I've never seen him play a club on the weekend It's always strictly weeknights or festivals.. Problem is he definitely leans towards deep house on the weekday sets and super short sets for the festivals.. I know it's not the promoters fault but what in the world is going on with his routing? This isn't some random stop along the way, NYC deserves a proper club night with CC on a Friday or Saturday.

Could this possibly be correlated with the opening of Space NY? Would make sense to do 2 gigs, maybe one at Space on Thursday and one at Output on Wednesday thoughts?

Yea i know, thought it wouldve been less. Guess its just a way to secure your tickets for a few people...unless $30 tier will be gone come Monday when they update everything

Wow those tickets flew. Is there really that many people that are going or is it scalpers?

the scalpers get screwed on nights like this, they sieze the tickets on stubhub etc. They also check the name or last 4 digits of the credit card used when you get to the box office. My friend didn't get one in time but no need to be worried, I'm sure some people bought an extra, and there's another release scheduled for 4/14.

I havent noticed Output checking ID to match anymore, i think they did this for like 6months and used to post it on all event listings, but not anymore

That's great. The Deadmau5 show down here sold in a minute and right after that tons of ads were on craigslist and stubhub. Stubhub blocked them and on craigslist some folks are taking the time to post "DO NOT BUY TICKETS YOU WILL NOT GET IN."

The venue even posted after that if your card and ID don't match the name on the ticket you will not get in. Even then some of the idiots are claiming that by just changing the name with photoshop you will get in. Wrong. When they scan the ticket it will show the name. So many Deadmau5 fans are going to be sitting on the curb after paying more than the real cost of the ticket $1, which went to charity.

NOT my experience.

For a long time, they used the etix option on RA, but lately, they have the bar code option.

SO, I thought when they made that change, great, finally it's easy to sell a ticket if needed, just scan and enter.

To my surprise, with the first barcode ticket I used there, had to show ID at booth anyway.
Asked them why that was still nec. with the bar code tix, and they said, we're still checking against the list, which is what they then did.

Since that, I haven't even bothered with showing the RA ticket, whether etx or bar-code, just driver's license, so can't say what they've been doing the last couple of weeks.
But it SEEMS they're still going to their list....

Actually matters to me, cause I have to sell my Ben Klock ticket.
I'm going to check with them aggain next weekend, just to see what the current sell situation is.

This was a strange sale.
1st release actually went on sale at 7AM for $30.
got one of those, pure luck, cause weird part was:

RA was showing 36 attending before 7AM (so from people who manually added to their calendar beforehand).

After purchase, counter said 37 attending, via the auto-calendar-add option.
hit add-to-cart button right away for a second ticket, sold out.
RA then said 38 attending.
All that by 7:04/05

They had TWO 1st tier tickets on RA?
(unless everyone else who snagged one has the auto-add option deselected...)
go figure.

the place was packed for the last Wed. show, and the line outside was in keeping, a big one.
So not surprised at all, would be more surprised if this had a more typical Wed. attendance, cause his last set was just so good, you'd think all of the ones went would go back, plus the ones that wanted to but couldn't get in.
