Who still uses Izotope Ozone?

Does anyone still use Izotope Ozone for mastering? And do people think Izotope 5 worth investing in or are there better mastering systems?

Cheers

I'm playing around with izotope ozone 5 for mastering. Pretty powerful stuff, the tube emulation sounds nice.

I like the comps, limiter, and eq. The reverb and enhancer sound crappy to me tho.

I use their EQ.. always liked the interface.

I never had much interest in it, but then got a Black Friday steal on it a little over a year ago, and now I use it all the time to finalize my mixdowns. I'm not a fan of using it in my projects (e.g., on tracks, or my master bus), but I like it for final treatment of the bounced down stereo .wav (I use it in Wavelab). I agree that the reverb isn't that great, but I like all the other modules. I think it's a good all-in-one tool, especially if you can get it cheap.

You could arguably get as much or more out of something like Wavelab Elements or Sony Sound Forge Audio Study (i.e., cut-down versions of Wavelab and SF11) with all of their included plugins plus whatever third-party plugins you already have, and that would possibly save you some cash.

All the time! Mostly uses to bring up the sides individually using the mono/stero exiters. Makes your tracks sound AMZN!.

Yeah it rules. It's well designed and sounds good. You can also use it for other things other than mastering. I use a music software not so rich in plugins so this really helps

You don't really need it.
