The nature of Facebook...
Ever feel the need to call someone out on their stupidity but you know it'll be like causing World War 3 if you do?
Discuss.
yeah, all the people that like, comment and share the Kardashians facebook page lol

oh yea
Unsurprisingly, I've pissed a lot of friends-of-friends off on there.
I keep my friend list small for this reason.
It isn't that I don't have people with differing viewpoints, it is just that I try and keep retards off of it altogether, no matter what their views are.
Funny though, my batshit crazy tea-party voting aunt from central Oregon blocked (not only defriended, but blocked out right) not only me, but my brother, AND my mom (her sister) on FB a few weeks ago for no real reason lol.

I have some close friends who are real fucken morons. I call them out all the time. they are less than impressed but they still love me. coz im awesome.
I've moved away from using facebook for this reason (well, along with a few others)
lol I got yelled at at a club by this girl I know because I never like her photos. lmao.
On a side note, this guy I know totally wants to get with this other girl (has for years) and almost every single status update/picture/etc. he 'likes'. It really cracks me up.
I believe in the good old adage that goes "It's not what you say, but how you say it". It's only failed me once on Facebook (though the guy apologised later on).
For example, just last week a good friend posted some "proof" the foreign media believes Brazil is an underdeveloped backwater and thinks exactly like the middle-class protesters from last year, as if there was a greater-than-Sochi backlash. It was an article by a big French magazine that was supposedly censored in Brazil (hah!) with many bullet points, such as "France opposed the ascension of Brazil to the Security Council in the UN because Labour is the most corrupt government in Brazilian history and the country is currently a joke", though the very opposite happened.
So, instead of calling him out, I pointed out the fact there are no signs of this magazine's existence on Google, and showed how the facts run counter to what he had posted.
So far, no harm done to our friendship (as far as I've seen).

^lol
Also love the promoters who keep spamming and use bit.ly as a url shortener but don't have their settings to private... little do they know if you add a + to the link you can see their complete stats over the life of their link.
Uh yes. My sister. All the time. I try to fight it and tell myself "It has no impact on your life. Live and let live!" but I actually find it insulting that she thinks everyone is buying her bs. Otherwise no. I'm pretty selective about who I add/keep on FB so that eliminates a lot of irritating people right from the start.
Btw Del did you ever read my goddamn message I sent you last summer?? Sheesh!
Hm yes, we should be FB friends! *goes and finds you*
I call people out daily. Actually my wall on facebook has turned into a wall of hate where people with opposing beliefs come together and fight to the death over issues like politics, economy, social issues. All I do is stand back and gas to the flames.
I've called many a desperate hoochie out on their statuses too and have been deleted so many times by sluts i no longer get bikini pics on my new feed.
That all being said. I think I reached rock bottom with my trolling today. It involved telling a bunch of 13 yr old girls on an iphone app that I am going to rape their father and make him reconsider his sexual orientation and he will leave their family for a gay biker riding through America on the back of a hog setting up kissing booths at trucker stops for gas money. Once the hilarity of that sentence died off I realized how low i have gone to troll people for cheap laughs.
Am I the only one who doesn't have Facebook?
I blocked my own wife.
I'm extremely selective about who I add, and then if there's people I'd feel bad about de-friending but who are complete idiots, I'll just block their posts from showing up.
I do it all the time.....
its not that I come off as a hater but I make realistic points
sometimes it helps to keep those in check
Someone came up to me at a club and said "You know, you're too honest on facebook....sometimes it makes us DJs look bad...can you tone it down"
my reply to em was "I am the same person who posted the same opinions that I would if you guys were still posting on ClubPlanet or NightClubCity"
I have many issues with social media but if you use it for what it was meant, lulz, then its not too bad. unfortunately i know way too many people who think its a god given tool for social activism and the constantly flood my news feed with injustice this and injustice that. normally i ignore it but once in a while ill call them out and start WW3 on purpose.... call me self indulgent but honestly, how many causes can you possibly be that passionate about? like really? One friend in particular posted no less than 15 massive status updates regarding 15 different social justice issues in a single afternoon.... mind you, none of them that i particularly cared about.. but fuck, even king richard picked one crusade to go after at a time..... cant fight all the battles...
If you are into the whole hipster "i wanna stand for every goddamn social perceived injustice issue" movement, have at it, enjoy your drum circles and support groups and what have you, but dont get all hairy muffed over the fact that not everyone A: takes these things seriously on F Book and B: thinks that this issue is the biggest calamity since the holocaust. I made some witty comments on a particular post by a friend of mine regarding giant wooden cock vandalism of russian anti government activist as im sure everyone would agree that it is quite ironic that pro government fag hating types would retaliate against a kremlin critic by attaching a giant wooden cock to their car..... but oh no, that comment created a bigger shit storm than the time i changed my F Book profile picture to a photo of Darth Vader pointing at Leia with a caption of "You, get back to the kitchen and make me a sandwich" on international womens day..... (i didn't really help myself by responding to every angry female comment with different toppings i wanted on my sandwich, if they cant take a joke, fuck them)
I guess in general, i am just frustrated that people have become so deluded that they believe that everyone should like each photo of their lunch / new baby / stupid selfie or take everything and anything seriously that gets posted on social media. Then there is the whole other issue where people actually believe that anyone really cares what the hell they do with themselves every day. Congratulations on going to starbucks, reading half a book, doing your dishes and cuddling with your cat, you are clearly a beacon of light and hope for humanity......
Yes. A thousand times yes. ^^^
