ask a guy going to a music festival alone anything

Going to demf this year (not sure if they still call it that) last weekend of may, flying into one of Americas dangerous cities on my first trip solo, I ain't afraid though. Any tips or advice will be great.

First time for me going to Movement and Detroit, too. Can't wait!

Wouldn't mind meeting anyone from the COR who's going.

Should have a cor meet up , not sure how that will go though considering this place ain't as popular as it once was,First two line ups are out of this world, have a feeling they are saving the best for last though.

Posted by OrangestO on Feb-21-2014 02:55:

Yea, the phase one and two lineups are good enough and worth it for me - dope!

I don't think it'll happen, but I'd love to see Garnier on the phase three lineup. I was going to travel up to NYC to see him at Output but those plans aren't jiving with my Euro/Berlin trip that's scheduled around the same dates. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I guess meet ups arent really a thing anymore huh? I kinda regret not going to DEMF years ago when there was a bigger TA presence.

Meh.

All you bitches should come out to Decibel this fall in Seattle. Huge festival and late September in Seattle is usually really nice (though it wasn't this last one, haha).

HAHA Detroit isnt that dangerous. lol.

People blow it up to be more messed up than it is.

Its only dangerous because the city is bankrupt and if something does happen it takes about an hour for emergency crews to show up.

it's not dangerous because its abandoned you have a lot of time to react when a potential mugger is like 10 blocks away and you can see him clearly.

The first year I went to DEMF someone got shot and killed right outside the club we were at, at an afters, lololol.

shit happens all the time in the world.....nothing to worry about Detroit.

Friendly packs of stray dogs everywhere. get on one knee pet one and make a new friend

How are you going somewhere if you don't even know what it's called?

Yeah...

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Detroit some day, but it's definitely one of the worst spots in America. Saying otherwise is just incorrect.

It's so cooooooooooooooollllld in the D

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-21-2014 23:21:

Detroit is definitely a goddamn shithole. And now here's a clip from Robocop.

bring a lot of drugs, cigarettes and viagra. Then find a minor wear leg warmers and ruin her life. Ravehard.

Posted by LoveHate on Feb-25-2014 22:40:

is there any good loking girls in detroit?

and nah thats sound like something that would be more suited for ultra, i think demf attracts a more mature crowd who are there for the music.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-25-2014 22:43:

Lightbulb

Wrong. You will find all kinds of ravers at DEMF, and then some.

You're right; although, the music played at Movement is becoming more popular with the commercial crowd so naturally it has attracted it. Also, there's a stage designated for trap music, I believe. Good for us, since it keeps the sheep where they belong.

Otherwise, it's a nice mix of people from all over the place (definitely more 'mature' in comparison to what festivals like Ultra attract).

Keep raw meat in one pocket, spare change in the other. If you get cornered by either the pack of wild dogs or homeless people reach into the appropriate pocket to make your get away. There are a lot of poor black people but edm is kryptonte to them.

Or just bring IGK and bore them to sleep for an effortless getaway.
