Ethereal Mat Zo Pluck/Pad

So I was listening to Mat Zo's remix Ellie Goudling's Burn: https://soundcloud.com/elliegoulding/burn-mat-zo-remix

I want to know how to make the atmospheric pluck/pad that starts at 1:15. I can hear a phaser on the synth giving it that evolving feel, probably a little reverb. Is the main synth itself just a saw with the right lopass cutoff settings? Thanks!

I bet it's a nexus sound.

Doesn't sound like an electric piano to me. And there has to be more to it than sine waves that is giving it that sharp-plucky sound. Any ideas how to actually synthesize it? (as opposed to just using a preset)

Maybe it's an electric piano.

With a slight hint of a flanger

A cunning and valid tactic.

Yep, + a bit of flanger on it and well tuned bass line to create overall effect.

Cheers

Sounds like a hammond to me, with a basic sine wave for the sub-bass. I believe it also has a very faint touch of a Nexus2 sound called Massive Sweeps from the Stratosphere 2 sound pack. I uploaded a quick sample of that sound so you know what I'm talking about : [[ LINK REMOVED ]]
