How do they get away with that. I mean surely there is a few people that would see kaskade and not be complete pill hounds.

That sort of pricing semis counter productive. It assumes a sausage party. It also is begging for one of those lgbt people to start shit.

Kaskade is an idiot or at least his management for not picking up on the overt discrimination on paper. Not to mention the message it conveys regarding his following. People that run things in dance music are just kinda stupid. At least in America. They seem to have enough insight to sell lemonade.

completely unrelated but sort of related .

this is basically how girls feel. Except that the judge would question whether these guys committed a legitimate rape being so wit it and confused by the long uncle tom hair.

Well, they seem to be successfully selling lemonade for $225 a go, including $25 for a straw to drink it through. Of all the things to criticise about the EDM phenomenon, the money-making aspect is the last thing I'd pick.

Yup. And the mayor of one of the economic centres in NA is a crack addict who does home calls to shovel snow. Making money does not change the fact that just a quick glance at something would make most artists fire their management in a heartbeat. They are making money wether you put an ape in charge. Soemone competent would double their revenue.

As someone that lives in Miami I love WMC. You can literally pay for your entire party week by playing the "EDM" trends. I buy up earlybird tickets for guys lIke Hardwell, Skrillex, and etc. because I know they will sell out and once they do I can make a killing off the idiots willing to pay that money. Last year I made $300 off an Armin ticket that cost me $100.

WMC, it's the most wonderful time of the yeaaaaaaaaar!

I think you're talking your usual horseshit. Simon Reynolds has just released an updated version of his book Energy Flash with a new chapter detailing the rise of EDM in North America and he interviews a lot of the tour managers, promoters, PR firms and the acts themselves to gain an insight into how electronic music, having failed countless times to "crack" America, is now the hottest craze. From everything I've read the EDM explosion has been down to very astute marketing, branding and commercial exploitation.

This thing has not just exploded out of the vacuum and these guys are raking in money just by exploiting a youth trend. The whole EDM craze has been engineered and manufactured by the money-men, and it looks to me like they're making an absolute fucking killing out of it. You can sit there yammering as much as you like, but when you've got 300,000 people turning up to events like EDC, happily paying hundreds of dollars for tickets and then $6 for every bottle of water it seems like a money-making triumph for me, given how utterly dead in the water electronic music was 5-10 years ago.
