Music Player for web page

Hey all.

I need a player for my web page. I know I could use soundcloud but I really don't like the visual aspects of it. Ruins the experience when you can look at the waveform to see whats coming. Is it possible to use soundcloud without the waveform?

If not, anyone that know of something similar that I could use? All tips are welcome.

I like the one on my website, but I hate that it's Flash-based because it doesn't play on iOS devices.

I'll be watching this thread because I need to update to something non-Flash one of these days.

I'm pretty sure with the HTML5 embedded Soundcloud you don't have to have the waveform showing. I think I recall that from the soundcloud plugin via wordpress.

That looks pretty okay. But it doesnt seem possible to jump around in the song...

Soundcloud does provide a compact player for premium users, but I'd only recommend going premium if you upload new stuff frequently.
I haven't used it yet, but I've seen a lot of sites that do, and SCM looks to be a fairly decent one: http://scmplayer.net/

Yeah I think I will go for that one if noone comes up with something better. You can skip through the songs on that one and I think that is important.

YouTube? The audio is pretty good on HD stuff.

you reeky should not be using a custom player unless it links to all your portals that sell your music. The problem with webpages is that they get old real quick. Your Facebook page i s a better home page even to you still need one.

No one should be using anything flash these days. I'm actually growing to hate soundcloud - it's quite buggy, increases page load times and depending on settings, doesn't even sound great.

Here's another solution that has tons of options - it does require you to upload your audio to their site but the player options are incredible and most importantly, platform safe.

This is true. Soundcloud streams at 128kbps (even for paid users!), and whereas 128 can actually sound decent a lot of the time, soundcloud's conversion often makes tracks sound somewhat muffled.

Whoa - I knew their conversion is pretty horrible, but are you saying it streams a 128kbps MP3? If so, that will be why everything sounds like dogshit on my monitors. I had no idea.

yep! ive had people/labels give feedback based on soundcloud stream and i'm just shaking my head. stream is at 128kbps :/

Why don't you just upload as WAV to SoundCloud then?

It still streams as a really badly converted 128 mp3.
