Smiley DJ In the Beginning there was....

hey,

i just saw steve lawler tonight in taipei, taiwan. he was fucking amazing. just before i left he played one of the most pumpin' tunes i'v ever heard. i need to find out the title and artist.

the tune has a wicked tribal beat. in the tune a guy preaching, saying something like: "in the beginning, there was..." he preaches throughout the tune. i couldn't make out exactly what he was saying but the tune was amazing!!! i searched the net and i found a few tunes that may be the one he played tonight. i found a tracklisting from a 2001 steve lawler set. in the set he played:

unknown artist - in the beginning there was french kiss

i used google and searched for "lawler beginning" and found a tune called:

arrivals - in the beginning there was french kiss

i'm thinking this might be the tune, but i'm not sure. if anyone knows the title of the tune, please let me know. i'm dying to find out.

thanks.

rocky.

it's definately not "the prophet." this was a tribal tune. it was played by lawler and i'm pretty sur that he has never played cj bolland. the tune i am looking for is a wicked tribal tune with the "jack's groove/jack had a groove" dialogue layed over it.

I was at the party, too.
too bad I was at 7-11 when he played the last tune.
I've heard everyone saying that was a "super" great song.
but... no one knows the name...

I told my friend about the afterparty. She said she was there, too. But she didn't see Steve Lawler. Well... I think she was talking about the other afterparty maybe. haha... your friends were lucky to have Steve Lawler at his place.

so... I am stilling asking about the last song he played. but still no answer.
