Looks like Shadowzone will have it up for download tomorrow!
Joy.
Good shit, do u know how long the full version is? Because I have the "radio edit" which is 7:01 which doesn't seem like a radio edit to me LoL.
9:33
Wats the URL for shadowzone??
thanx
they got the a1 and b1's on soundrevolution
http://soundrevolution.gz.ee/
new section
guys trust me on this one - DO NOT download it from shadow-zone your wasting your time - yes it is a vinyl rip but its a fucking disgrace! seriously! the track has buzzing all the way through it (the ripper forgot to ground his cable probably) and the rip is way too fucking loud and its VERY trebley - extremely lack of bass - apparently the rips on sound revolution are ok so get it from there - trust me on this one ok I grabbed it 30 minutes after it was released by mp3 group "MTC" and its a fucking joke of a rip but the sound revolution rip is by someone else.

It's the same rip on Soundrevolution...
Simcut, Soundrevolution's got the same crappy rip...grrr
Just got it from Sound Revolution. It's not that bad. It will do till I can find a better one but...
What a song!
Simcut... you feel very strong about bad rips dont you ? hmmm. Actually they shit me too. Got an old song (Mauro Picotto - Pegasus (Tea Mix)) and it has fucking clicking all the way through. U know how fuuuucking annoying it is ???
Rip groups should be able to release quality rips, and they do I guess, but not all the time. Different people work for the same groups I believe, but If I worked for one (and as fussy as I am about music quality) I wouldn't be releasing anything as bad as that. I'd feel embarrassed if I did.
better rip
go here if you want a better version of DJ Scot's - O (Overdrive) in 192kbps http://beam.to/FutureTraxx make sure you rename it to .rar file and use winrar to extract it.
How do u do that?
Bad quality tracks
Also, many seem to be using AudioCatalyst and crappy encoders like that, and encoding in Joint Stereo, reducing the stereo separation.
All groups should use the LAME encoder IMHO.
Dude.. i've also noticed that most of my DJ Scot Project songs sound pretty bad.. and I can't find better versions of them.. I dunno if it's either the vinyl that sounds shitty or the ripper's shitty job.. ?
well I was in the mp3 scene for about 2 years in total - in all the major trance groups - BMI,TCLUB,BPM and I was ex-POW leader.....It drives me mental when I hear vinyl rips that sound like they were ripped using a microphone and there are too many bad rippers in the scene that are allowed to upload - I always try my best when I rip a vinyl but some vinyls are extremely difficult to rip - imho there are too many rippers who dont give a shit about quality anymore and just upload for some credits...anyhow thats just my feelings on the subject - which DJ Scot Project vinyls have you got bad rips of? the Overdose vinyls are not pressed that wonderfully - especially some XTC ones but still when I download a rip and hear buzzing all the way through it in the background (I guess the guy left his dildo on hehe) and when it is ripped so loudly and with such a lack of bass that it gets distorted it makes me angry when people spend over 30 / 40 minutes downloading it to find it sounds like shite.
There are only a few decent quality vinyl rippers and I'm not being bigheaded but I'm one of em cause I actually give a flying fuck about the quality - if I feel my rip isnt good enough I re-rip until I feel it is - I also edit out any clicks if there are any using cool edit pro - I encode using Audioactive Pro Studio and I cant be arsed with the shite that is Audiocatalyst
Anyways ranting over :P

I personally have NEVER had any problems with audioactive pro studio - it rules in my opinion.

I used to use Audiocatalyst because it was fast, but then I read some shocking reports on it, and the quality is actually far from Perfect. Then I went to use the Radium release of the Frauhnhofer engine. It was much slower, but the result was a crisper, clearer, overall better sounding rip. And with expensive stereo equipment, I DID notice the difference. |
