u know how people like Ali G, and sometimes on radios people say 'selecta' with the english accent... wat does it mean?

Sounds like they would use it in the same context as some people use 'choice' or 'sweet'

maybe itz just underground slang for 'select' they just put an 'a' on to make it sound hipper, but that just wouldn't make sence

selekta is the long version of selekt, meaning 'good'. In normal english we'd say something along the lines of "for a select few". They take the work select literally, and therefore if you are 'selekt' you are good. (its spelt with a k aswell)

selekta.

its also used in mc-ing for another name for the dj, because he selects the tunes (selector), so the mc would say "Bring it down my selekta"
