Seriously though, break your bad habits, don't do things that make you feel fucked up.
Trust me. Every 6 months or so I somehow find myself back where I started with something that makes me really pretty much hate myself. I want out of this cycle so fucking bad, two and a half years of this shit have left me fucking stunted. Every time I think I've made it out it comes back.

I think your problem Nou, is you've never had real problems. Going through tough shit makes most people more emotionally resilient and develops their self efficacy. How do you know your limits, what you can cope with, and what you can be proud of yourself for if you've never really been pushed that far? It also gives you perspective on what actually matters and should make you more appreciative/grateful of the present and what you've got.

Not everyone can be consoled in the same way. For me personally, I like to be left alone if I'm in a funk, I eventually get over whatever is bugging me if I just stay by myself and reflect on things. If I need to vent, I usually talk to either my husband or a close friend, someone who won't be judgmental and instead offer their support and advice. Sometimes you just need to know someone is there for you.
If you know what your friend's hobbies and interests are, try to arrange something based on what he/she likes.. perhaps a nice outing with friends, a concert, a hike, some kind of physical activity etc..

Have you had real problems? Have you ever been homeless, starving, or life-threateningly ill? Ever been in any situation that jeopardized your Well-being, that you had to rely solely on yourself, with NO support to help you through it?
