Godskitchen - Perth

how was it for all u who went?

i had a fucking great night! best set/event of the year for me!

armin was so good, exactly what i had hoped for!!! the tracklist was very similar to what was posted for eastern states!! man this guy had all my trance hating mates who i had to drag along, down the front for his entire set praising him!!!! he was that good!

we went had a break for a bit after avb.. i didnt really like what joof was playing... dark techy sorta stuff... but the last half of his set was right up there with armins!! i hadnt realised just how good joofs remix of cafe del mar was till tonight!!

and to top it off, i heard two tracks that i had never before heard at an event here in perth and that i have been waiting to here for so long! strangeworld and cloudwalking!! i just had to stand back and watch the packed metro's go absolutely nuts to these tunes!! so much for the people who say there is a lack of support for trance in perth!

as u can probably tell i've had one of the best nights in my 4 years of doing this!! i wish it didnt have to end

anyway im over stimuated so its straight to bed for me!! bed bed bed bed

hope u all had as good a night as i did!

bring on corsten!!

Yes, good night, Metros was relatively empty but, i was expecting it to be overflowing like two tribes was. I actually Preffered J00Fs set over Armins, the last hour and 15 minutes of j00f was incredible, minus that fucking MC but. Semi in order tracklist for armin which is probably very wrong if anyone is interested

Solar Stone - Seven Cities (AVB Mix)
Push - ?? (Had a sample straight out of silverbath)
Fingers Burnt - For a Devil
Push - Strange World (2000 Remake)
Pulser - Cloudwalking (Beatpushers Remix)
Armin Van Buuren - Sunburn
Prime Mover - The Weapon (Grinder Mix)
Riva - Time is the healer (AVB Mix)
Armin Van Buuren - Yet Another Day

add the tracks ive forgotten.

The remix that j00f played of God is a DJ was pretty good. As well him playing Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar (J00f mix) and 3 Drives - Sunset on Ibiza. I dont have much of an idea what else he played so I wont even try and start a track listing for that. All in all it was a good night.

"We Will See You Next Time!"
- The Retarded MC

HUMAN EVOLUTION..

HUMAN EVOLUTION..

HUMAN EVOLUTION..

I was jumping non-stop upstairs when he played this song...SOO FUCKING GOODD

The last track was awesome as well Yet Another Day, and overall he was awesome, he interacts with the crowd as well, and his set was 100% TRANCY..

Shame we didn't get to hear him play Ligaya but oh well...HUMAN EVOLUTION...

He was my only reason of coming, Chris Fortier and jOOf were good but Chris should've interact more with the crowd..

HUMAN EVOLUTION...

LOL. I take it you like that song? Did he play the original, club or vocal mix? Personally I'm not that big a fan of the original, they vocal is so much better (it's not really a vocal, I think it has one line of speech somewhere in the intro and repeated in the outro).

did anyone go to the meet-up? i was there for about 10 min, asked a few ppl but couldn't find you guys.

anyways, the night was OMFG, even the local DJs played some excellent progressive.
Fortier played some killer tunes but when armin came on the crowd made more noise than the speakers. Yes his set was 100% trance, the uplifting kind. This set beats tiesto's TT set easily, although kinda slowed down a bit toward the end (but still good).
armin made me so tired that by the time j00f came on, i was totally exhausted. i could only stand there in the middle of the dancefloor absorbing the j00f style trancy progressive tunes. damn he knows how to spin prog.
This is definitely the best i've been to.
in terms of tunes, i can't add anything extra.

Funny story - i saw armin looking at me so i told him to play ligaya. as you can imagine, ligaya would be lip-read as love-ya. so when armin pointed to me and said "yeh," i thought he was going to play it.
