TECHNICS 1200 MK5 - new model
I don't know if this is real or not. I believe it is. It comes from the Panasonic Japan internet site (Panasonic own Technics don't they?)
TECHNICS 1200 mk5
I am sorry to link to another site about it. But they will be posting a translation ASAP.
the link doesnt show anything about it...
I didnt even know there was a mk4
The mk4 is believed to be a hoax. It came before the m3d and it was basically a mk2 with a 78 RPM button and platinum plated contacts (so no quartz reset and all the stuff on the m3d yet).
Yet it's featured on the japanese panasonic page... So it should exist. Just seems weird to have mistaken the names so badly. But I'm used of that by technics.

Neither the Mk4 or the Mk5 are designed for club use. The Mk3D will still be the top-of-the-range turntable.
Btw, I think the Mk4 only came out in Japan, but I'm not sure.
The mk2 wasn't intended for dj'ing either. It's still a hifi record player. But a damn good one that is

It's pretty easy. Under the platter is a plastic cover. Remove the plastic cover, you'll see a blue pot on the circuit board with PITCH written near it. Clockwise turning : increase pitch range. Counterclockwise : decrease.
Use with moderation. Keep in mind your pitch will be less precise. It has to cover a larger pitch difference on the same fader distance.
