dance-tunes.com is no more?

Hi folks been kinda away from the scene for a while so think I missed some big changes. I use to buy a lot of my mp3 tracks on Dutch online shop dance-tunes.com but it now seems to of disappeared. Anyone know what happened to it? If it is gone is there any replacement out there for it were I can buy the latest dance tunes downloads? Thanks guys.

A lot of the smaller digital music shops have closed down recently, Zero Inch or Audiojelly also spring to mind. Selling digital music is all about scale, if you aren't moving a lot of tracks it's not really worth it.

The biggest store still is Beatport, but it's been that way for years. Then it's probably Junodownload and Boomkat, although they have a more limited selection. Itunes also has a decent selection of more popular dance music these days.

A lot of alternative download sites that are still around still have their own niche focus and niche customers, and I think that's the kind of thing that allows you to survive, if not compete, alongside major players like Beatport and Juno, who just move mass quantities of product in every direction. I think you're far better off identifying and filling the market gaps left by sites like Beatport than setting yourself up as a rival , because barring suspiciously low prices, it just feels too late in the game to do that successfully.

Beatport is the only one for the States. Juno might work if ur in the UK, but if you get your stuff from there, you'll get no reaction from crowds in the US.
