RaVeRs
Just curious, whats raving like around the world? Here in Australia, heaps of different styles vary, but generalised by race. Asians got their own thing, Greeks got their own style. Anyone been all round the world and seen some awesome raving? Which country are the best ravers?
Germans by history, Switzerland by commitment, Holland by experience
I don't know what it like in Melbourne but here in Perth it's not so much streo typed. There a variety of people in every rave. Insted it varies by music genere, location etc.
Like beach raves!!! mmmmmmm I like! There was one we had were we made these huge fires in a large round circle and there was palm trees all around and we were dancing in the middle. Had lasers too. It was Such a sweet atmosphere. I'll see if people have pics.
Here we have those real ravers (some people with the classic raver alternative style), but most people (who are occasional ravers) are just ordinary people, that you see on the streets.

When i lived in Taiwan there were big beach raves and raves way up in the mountains 'n shit, those were hella cool. Taiwanese ravers are outta control tho... lots of kids with face masks, white gloves, big ass pants and everyone gotta be the best at liquid. Me i'm happy going to raves in a t-shirt/wifebeater and a pair of shorts... heheh. But yeah, my only gripe about Taiwan raves is the music, especially when it's all local DJ's... is predominantly house... like tech-house. Trance really isn't big there yet at all...
It's all about the UK
the Tidy Weekender was awesome, atmosphere was great, everyone was kitted up, everyones crazy, just perfect clubbing
I'd say Holland or UK cos people there know how to have fun...
And the most important thing is that NOTHING COULD STOP THEM
Buncha wannabe ravers around here. The ratio of people dancing, and people sitting on the floor is like 1:1
us uk people are pretty krazy

mmm... I just turned 18 but usually went to underage parties hehe. Just the way in general that asians dance, generally fairly fast, lots of hand movements and alot of shuffling of feet. In general say for example wogs or greeks move less legs and hands but still shuffle pretty quickly. I dunno its pretty hard to explain its something you gotta see i guess. These people are just clubbers friends also tell me that people at actually raves dance differently too. Like even faster, harder and more crazy
perhaps thats something you see more with the underage scene or clubbin scene (which is far more pretentious than the atmosphere at a rave)- where ppl tend to stick in their own groups and dance their little dance...
i guess at a rave everyone grooves the same way... everyone faces the dj instead of forming their little gay circles
From a US point of veiw...we suck.
lol.
At least where I am, raves aren't that big. There may be some small wharehouse parties, or a house party, but nothing really nice.
And at clubs it sucks. I'm one of a group of about 5-10 that goes to every electronic music night in town (can't be picky about Trance or I'd never get out!) and dances liquid and sometimes sticks or breakdancing, depending on style.
I don't know why nobody else does this. Every club we go in there is immediatly a circle made around us and shit, which I'd rather not have. I'd rather all those people in the circle would just fuckin dance!
As for style, it's club style, as clubs here aren't aware yet that they should NOT have dress codes for Trance, lol. It's a bitch to dance in dress clothes and shit.
Anyway, I'll find out who has the best rave style when I take a vacation to Europe in the next 10 years, lol.
