lol, so, a girl says she is feeling 'guilty' because she is 'dating' two guys at the same time and that her girlfriends tell her that's fine and normal -- aka going on 'dates' with different ppl prior to getting into an official relationship with anyone. I agree. I dig deeper and find out in the past month she's been having sex with a recent ex and some other new guy who is going through a divorce -> neither of these guys knows the other exists.

So, I tell her she is having casual sex with two dudes and is not "dating". *awkward silence* "...yeah,I guess that's true".

If she's "dating" multiple people then she is still technically single and "shopping" around for a possible partner. As long as she is clear with each one of them that it's not exclusive, then I don't see the problem.

I think Del's point is that she's getting together with these men exclusively for sex, which is fucking, not dating, the later of which may include sex but is generally not undertaking in the exclusive pursuit of same.

Ah, well then, it is just fucking if she's meeting up with them exclusively for sex. "Dating" is going out on dates with someone to get to know them better and see what develops. As you said, that may include sex, but there is potential for a possible relationship with that person.

"Dating" then would be going on such dates over some extended period of time, typically a few weeks. Then I get bored and it's time to move on.
