what style is the best in electronic music?

For me, no doubt : T.R.A.N.C.E

Other styles (House, Techno, progressive...) SUXX big time compare to trance music. Trance is magic. In a near future, it will kills a lot of music styles I think. I don't understand people who don't like trance music!!!

Trance: emotion, energy.
House: old 70's disco sounds, repetitive, SAME BASSLINE, no energy.
Techno: Crazy, always the same boom boom non-stop, no melody.
Progressive: no emotion, no melody, looks like techno music, HORRIBLE.

but the "bastard" style is prog , it's worse than techno , techno is not boring comparing to it

I'm proud of possessing tunes and albums covering all the different styles of electronica and in fact Im convinced that every true fan of Trance music will eventually seek for new sounds, broaden his musical horizons etc. etc.
I don't say that I like trance less now, I just developed a more eclectic taste of music which ultimately lets you appreciate every single genre even more.

I agree totally with what TranceGian wrote. Also another point to remember is that ultimately you can�t judge which genre is better over another due to the fact that peoples tastes in music are totally subjective. On top of this, as this is a trance forum, despite the fact that we can discuss other genres, you�ll inevitably get a high proportion of the same answer, i.e trance.

i disagree. cbxzcm is right. it depends on your personal tastes.
house does not have the same bassline. if you think that you should listen to more of it.
techno has more energy than trance ever could. but it has to be GOOD techno.
i like progressive but i can't really justify why.
and you forgot drum n bass - i don't expect that you would like that either but that can move my soul more than any other type of music sometimes.

I don't think you're in a position to judge electronic genres if those are all you know.

My personal tastes lean more heavily towards ambient, chillout and breakbeats.

But, like said, it's all a matter of taste.

i totally agree with ya...
at 1st like 4 years ago i used to just listen to epic trance..now i listen to psy-goa,breakbeat,tech house,progressive house,some tecno,and alot other styles....

100% correct.
i currently listen to trance, progressive, trancecore, hardstyle, hardhouse, breaks, dnb, hell even some garage.

very different genres but you appreciate different things in each.

i used to be the same... trance forever.. you just expand :P

to the closeminded goof who thinks progressive has no emotion; why would people consider Sasha to be one of the most emotionally moving dj's? I never knew that the only way to convey emotions was through 2 minutes of buildup, then a minute for the breakdown, some synthy melody gets louder, then that melody with a beat...oh, and at LEAST house has a bassline thats not "umc umc umc umc umc"...

Open that little mind of yours. You say its your opinion...but try to actual express your opinion in a semi-intelligent way.

CBXZCM is totally right. Wicked Neo should lock this thread, because it will obviously have no intelligent posts, and it'll just start a flame war...
