Fellow TA
Anyone confirm? Just found out from discogs. I'm shocked. I used to chat with him here and we traded music several times and taught me some stuff because we shared some similar musical interests.
I know he.was from the Russia and moved to Canada some time ago. He.had a sweet collection. I'm gutted. RIP

Edit-
Confirmed

Wow, that's a shame. He made some great retrospective mixes, a true scholar of dance music.
Wow. He was one of the first TAs I met way back... nice guy. Shitty.

That is a bummer.
I will remember him for his salmon-coloured text and moon landing denial.
Shitty indeed. Didn't really interact with the guy, but he certainly knew his music.
Man, RIP. Sad to see this. Amazing music connoisseurs passing away too young
RIP
RIP. Very sad to hear. This guy knew his music in and out.
I did not know this man, but it is sad to see another TA passed away. Rest in peace
RIP buddy. He was a cool guy for sure.
RIP. His passing is truly sad; I can't say I knew well him but I remember him posting and being a regular contributor.
Damn, really sad to hear about this
Not sad at all. Guy was a nutter.

On the other hand, today there are many fans who still buy, collect and discuss the 80s and 90s music and listen to it every day. These days people who mostly buy CDs and vinyl are DJs and old-school music enthusiasts. Back then, kids in high school bragged about buying records and CDs. Today's generation is armed with iPads/iPhones/etc and poor quality MP3s. |
Didn't know the guy but its always sad to see someone who clearly has such a huge passion for music pass away
so what are we to interpret from that article? suicide?
sad to hear. always liked the guy and appreciated his taste in music. can't think of too many other people on here that would share a love of old disco music.
Dude was like my italo blood brother. I'm shocked.. we had plans to do an italo gig together.. jesus

Pretty shitty, I really enjoyed his mixes and music knowledge. You could tell from his words he was very passionate music lover.
Also reminds me I can't ask him for a copy of the Voyager I & Voyager II fields recordings.
Crazy news. Always a sobering reminder of our mortality when one of our close peers passes away. May he rest in peace.
His disco mixes were amazing. Very sad to hear that someone so talented is dead. I guess I'm never gonna get his original 70s disco mix again :\

He has a really nice atmospheric Drum n Bass mix, worth checking out. I might have another mix just like it but he later took it down and was going to redo it.

man what.
i remember him well and i'm pretty sure we spoke many time i think he was pretty active on progressivehaus back when i was on there
