Audition samples in Logic X project

Is there a way to audition samples in the project playback on Logic X? I just switched from Cubase and I know in the media bay I can hit F6 and Play any sample at the projects BPM. When your satisfied you can simply drag it into the project. Does Logic X have anything similar to this without going to Apple Loops?

yeah use the file browser

media -> browser then navigate to your sample library

(i'm using logic 8 but i'm assuming it's still the same)

Yep, it's the same. The media browser to the right will let you audition any sound.

AFAIK, there's no way for it to automatically play it at your BPM as you either have the tempo stretch done at point of import or pitchNtime it once it's in the project.
