Does the site need a title change?
Trance was at its pinnacle commercially in the late 90's/early 00's, and TA was founded when trance was riding high as an import in north america. maybe, just maybe, TA experienced a decline in traffic because it lost its aura as the massive genre that dominated the charts and the online fans it was exposed to. Subconsciously, people may not be attracted to the word Trance in this day and age. Are potential customers going to register because trance is currently the hottest thing going and if they do, are they going to post incessantly about how great trance currently is? Just a rhetorical question. Hell, I registered on TA because I was salivating over trance. That could be said for thousands of other members of the past. as great as trance was in electronic music, this board could be rejuvenated with a new brand and identity. Not to say that people should give a crap about my 2 cents anyway; I've never majored in marketing. there's still a lot of loyal members who've been posting here perennially and new members who still register.
Cool story bro lmao.
ok in all serious I like where this is headed.

Just no.
If all Aly & Fila fans would register, no-one would complain...well expect for the ones who always do.

I'm not one to evangelize, but you could use a dude like Jesus in your life.
Let me ask you some thing, is FLTA some kind checkerboard? where you need to post in some artistic fashion or some samurai style way so nothing gets ruined?

Make it EMaddict.com. Problem solved.
Or MDAddict.com. We'll have all sorts of people, then.

| Originally posted by Swamper I registered EDMaddict back in 2001 - the reasoning being that I wanted a music forum where Trance/House/Techno fans could all congregate and the name 'trance'addict makes it seem like it is *only* for those that like Trance. The difficulty with the term EDM these days is that its definition has been polluted to mean the commercial housey sound associated with festival main stages and the majority who are drawn to it (dance music newbies). |
