Computer sound system...... what are you rockin'?
OK....... what kind of computer speaker setup do you guys have? What are the good brands to purchase and the one's to look out for? I'm in need of good computer speakers on the cheap, if that's even possible. I'm not talking studio quality speakers meant for producers (but if within budget, might consider).
Just want something that sounds decent with clarity and a rockin' subwoofer so I can thump Alice Deejay's "Do you think you're better off alone" in the bedroom while brushing up on my 'Nordic Trac'. Thanks in advance!

Logitech Z623 or Harman Kardon SoundSticks III get good reviews.
I don't use pc speakers, but a 24 year old Pioneer midi setup, it just doesn't break....
Stop. Just... stop.

You'll never look back.

If you're not looking for monitors, then I highly recommend bose companion 3's. They're about US 300 dollars and they absolutely blow the water out of any other speakers I've heard in a similar range (much better than twice as good as 200/300 dollar logitech speakers). I've had them for 6 years and they're quite reliable as well. My gf was recently in the market for some and we chose those for her as well as there wasn't much else comparable.
The 150 dollar logitech speakers are a bit cheaper but these will blow them out of the water. I'd also avoid 5.1 if you can, unless you want to spend at least 2 grand (possibly more) on speakers then you're essentially going to lose some fidelity for the extra positioning (which will be irrelevent to 99% of music).
I pleasured myself with a breast pump last night.

He just wants to listen some music while running on his Nordic track in his bedroom. There really is no need for premium expensive brands for that and IMO it shouldn't cost more than $150.
