Decided to cancel BPM ( need to buy at least three high-quality suits, shoes, etc for my new real job) so "settling" for Space!

This will be a fun night, obviously.

Tickets to nye for space + gas and tolls + drinks = plane ticket to cancun. At least in Miami U won't need nights of hotel expense and numerous show tickets

Flight is 350 alone to Mexico

Wristband is nearly $600

Sharing a room is at least another $600 or so

Spending money for a week in Mexico unless you're eating street food every meal is gonna be 100+ a day (drinks, food, etc .I don't go on vacation to live like a bum). So you're talking well over 2grand easily.

I can stay in Ft Lauderdale for half the price. Space entry is $60 tops with presale. Gas, split with another person is $40. Space drinks and maybe an afternoon afterwards on the beach doing lunch or something might run $200 a pop.

So yeah $500 vs $2250 is really a no brainer and cannot be compared. Especially when you're an hourly employee with no vacation hours earned yet. Essentially every time I take off I'm losing money by not working.

Priority for me is assembling a professional, on-point wadrobe. And that costs $$$. Must be nice to work in an industry where sartorial considerations don't mean anything but in my field it means a ton.

i feel u bro. Gotta invest in your future. I got the last of a dying breed job. 100% free health care, full pension after 30 years, and my hourly pay is kinda comical how high it is.

Yeah I'll be at WOB for quite awhile. I like tending bar (just not too many hours a week) and it's a nice supplementary income. See ya around!
