how you going to get mad at your mom for making you lunch everyday?

this one dude at my job he's 29 years old, dude's mom packs him lunch everyday, drives him to work sometimes, she even brings him food sometimes, today he showed me a text his mom asked him why he didn't take his tuna sandwhich to work, and dude was flipping out , talking about he's still mad at her for some shit she didn't do during his formative years, because he didn't grow up with a father , and feels she should of played that role as well..

im like brah......what more do you want her to do ? she makes sure you are fed every single day, whatever else issues you going through, its gotta suck but you gotta play the cards you were dealt with and at some age take responsibility for your short comings..

like i have met this women and she's the nicest person in the world, never seen this guy with a girl either, and i am sure he blames her for that to.

My mom is nice, but not this nice.

Though every time I stop by home she asks if I want to go get lunch someplace and pays. Which reminds me, I haven't seen her in like a month. I should probably go visit soon.

ugh....does your co-worked have a DWI that he can't drive himself??

Posted by AlphaStarred on Nov-10-2014 20:19:

Does she make a good tuna sandwich?

Posted by Vivid Boy on Nov-10-2014 21:35:

my mom is baller as well. My mom always keeps left overs in case i pop in.

i think she does it as an incentive for me to pop in, because I pop in a lot to eat her food now.

How am I suppose to know ? I'm not him

But in regards to the dwi thing nah I don't think he is living life on the edge like that dude can't even get a girl to like him , plus the public transit system here is pretty top notch

What a little shit. My mother would carpet-bomb my face if I was that ungrateful.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Nov-11-2014 00:16:

If he's pissed off with his mother for making him sandwiches, maybe he should move the fuck out and try fending for himself.

my mom lives to far away to make me lunch, but she did go grocery shopping for me and then mail it all to me because i lacked the time to do it. she is awesome!

Posted by AlphaStarred on Nov-11-2014 04:13:

Well, that just takes the cake, then, don't it?

Reminds me of when an acquaintance told me how his 30-something year old friend mailed him a big chocolate chip cookie he had baked. Needless to say, it arrived all moldy and shit. Who the fuck does these things?

Divorced parents especially the mom spoil their kids and let them get away with bad behavior because they feel guilty and to compete for their love. I know someone on this forum who's poster child for this sort of thing...

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Nov-11-2014 18:29:

I don't know why IGK would be so quick to blame the mom, honestly moms tend to work the hardest in divorced families. Unless the dad isn't around at all, all of my friends who had divorced parents were usually spoiled by their fathers.

After my parents split up my mom was def the authority figure, since we lived with her. My dad spoiled us rotten when we stayed with him, especially my brother who figured out quickly that crocodile tears were a quick way to get new toys. It wasn't competition really, my brother and I never compared our mom or dad, or even really played them off each other (there wasn't a point really, their divorce was amicable, not messy in the least, and my parents to this day still are able to speak to each other very casually and freely).

In terms of showing love through money though my dad is definitely one of those types, but so is his whole side of his family. They are very English, stiff upper lip types, where emotion of any sort is not shown, except anger, and usually only after quite a bit of prodding. Money is an easy bypass for them. On birthdays my moms side of the family always gave a real gift, on my dads side always a check. My brother has definitely taken advantage of this over the years. He is much more cool to both my parents, and as such my dad lavishes him with money and anything he wants. My brother is working a job, making a living and able to support himself and his hobbies at the moment, but my dad still pays for a lot of his trips (he goes to Japan for fun multiple times a year, on my dad's dime) and other random fun stuff like making records (he and his band have studio produced two records, including CD pressings, and they are in the studio on their third record).

I ask for the bare minimum to support myself through school and any fun stuff I do comes from investments I made when I was working full time and I am usually very conservative with my money there. I spend the minimum amount of expenditures possible, and very rarely am I totally frivolous. As a kid I rarely asked for anything expensive. The most I got was getting a new computer a few times, and my DJ gear when I was 15. I never felt good about asking for random shit just because I wanted it.

Obviously men express love through money and women through nurturing, commonly food being the vehicle of choice.

You guys sure make some dumb generalizations.

I would respectfully classify her as a "hybrid"

Whenever I meet a new a girl, I force her to have a conversation with momma before I take things seriously and afterwards ask if momma approves or not. Momma knows best! Even though I'm currently on a long dry spell......

Oh where art thy true love be'eth, why won't thy princess come'th and save'th thee from misery and suffering.....eth'.

The term you're looking for is Hermaphrodite.
