Big Winter GASS, phew, its that time again.
The holidays are near, what do yall have mind for Christmassss!
Lets see for me. Bought these for this month and can't wait to jam.
The rack furniture for my ensemble and SSL Sigma
of course Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt.
Last but not least
Waldorf Pulse 2!
Still MFB Dominion 1 for me...but maybe in January if i have any money left after christmas.....
My Christmas present arrived earlier today. It's not the sexiest piece of gear ever made, but it's perfect for my needs. I'll post pix after I get it set up.
Electribbeeeezzzzz
Was it cryo, what did you get?
It was a tad expensive (and came with a non disclosure agreement on price) but I can now watermark a lot of music
. Really happy with it for future plans
Nice!

| Originally posted by Dj Dizzy i've actually been GAS'ing hard for a Waldorf Pulse 2 for months! i've never gotten to play with one first-hand but i started fiending for one after watching some youtube videos. to my ears it sounds way better than the other competing analog synths like the minibrute, bass station 2, or mopho x4... all of which i have been able to tinker with at the local Guitar Center many many times. i only have 2 VA synths because they fit what i'm looking for more than an analog synth (jp8000 and virus ti polar) but i'd love to have a small analog synth and damn i really love the Pulse 2 reviews/demos (even with the crappy YouTube compression). unfortunately i won't be getting one or anything else because we're trying to save for a house but the Pulse 2 is the #1 spot on my GAS list, i'm so jealous! what are your thoughts on it so far? |
What I seriously want and need. Basically I'm begging a local shop to make a distribution deal with Genelec for my country.
One day I'd like a big Deadmau style modular system but there is sooo much choice of manufacturer, where to start!
I'm surprised there are this many manufacturers, instinctively one would think this would be a tiny niche product with just a handful of makers.
Do people that invest many thousands in this stuff end up making outstanding music? Or is it purely for the love of the machinery and sounds regardless, like collecting high end Hi-Fi gear?
GAS guy with slightly bemused deathly silent friends watching.
Money don't buy talent.
There is an inverse correlation between how much modular gear you have and how much music you actually make.

Oh, and Juan, telling swamper to fuck off in a dedicated thread, then switching to one of your many alts is surefire way to get perma-banned,
Rann is right though, you're on pretty thin ice at the moment, especially after all that slurm bullshit.

After having regrettably sold my Juno 106 and Korg Polysix, I'm finally getting another polyphonic synth. Just won this bad boy, which I'm hoping won't be as difficult and annoying to program as a Yamaha DX: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Rol...cvip=true&rt=nc
Everybody needs to party hard once in awhile
Ps. life sucks.
