Im turning eighteen next month so can anyone from Sydney suggest the best places to go in the city for a good night out,for music,people atmosphere e.t.c.

Well I'm from Melbourne so I can't help you much
But there is Sublime@home on Friday nights, Gas, and Altitude which is a monthly trance night at The Dendy. Hope that helps for a start

Honestly Sublime, gas and zen's are all fairly sh$t in comparison to ARQ. ARQ on saturday night is awesome. It gets going late about 2 and just pumps through till about 8. Paul Goodyear plays some excellent euphoric trance. And the venue is by far the best in sydney with quad lasers, mezzanine with couches over looking the main dancefloor and really friendly people. Oh and also a really excellent air conditioning system so it doesn't get really really hot like alot of trance clubs

Yeah thanks guys for that,
i used to go to the U18 nights at Gas and Home but they never really live up to much and they played some really corney trance/techno compilations.
Ill look up ARQ it sounds good,thanks
oh incase i dont find it where is ARQ,is it an event or a club?

ARQ is one of Sydneys superclubs. It is of similar magnitude to home. It is a gay club. But saturday nights is pretty straight now. But unlike home the interior is much nicer. Also there is a much greater focus on Euphoric Trance rather than Hard trance and Hard House as I think sublime is (Although I haven't been there for a while). Also if you go to ARQ on a saturday night before 10. There are no bouncers so you will get in if you are underage. And then just wait in the club. The club normally starts happening at about 1:00 am. It is 3 levels and is located at Taylor Sqaure oxford st.

Cheers, have a great night. If you haven't been there before your in for a treat. The laser show is the best in sydney. No other club has quad multi coloured lasers

When you first turn 18 sublime is the place to be, its an unforgetable event ! Gas and Zen are cool as is the Pavilion on George St and Q Bar is awesome !
