I"m selling my monitors for about 2,025 and someone wants to buy and have a friend do a local pick up because I dont want to ship. The reason why i dont want to ship is because i dont have the original boxes they came with.

Is there any way he could scam me by saying he never got it since his contact is picking them up.

His ebay score is 235 with 100% positive feedback.

Get the person who picks the monitors up to sign something to the effect of

I (name) have picked up these monitors which are working and in good condtion on behalf of (ebay user & ebay users name) from (your name / address) on (time/date)

Put the full details of the auction on the paper (ebay auction number etc) and get the guy to sign the bottom

when signed, scan the document in and upload it somewhere, (private of course) which shows the time/date uploaded, so you will have some kind of proof you can use in a dispute.

get the ebay winner to give you the name of the guy who comes to pick up the monitors in advance, so if the guy tries to give you a dodgy name, you will know it

Your a godsend Sarah, thanks. I will also ask if buyer has done it before and to give me past recipients email so I can ask if they were scammed, doubt it will work but I think the info may come in handy.
