I didn't even know a condition like this existed! This is fucking scary...

Teen fighting for her life after severe allergic reaction to antibiotics for a sore throat which left her 'burning from the inside out'

- Yaasmeen Castanada, 19, took some antibiotics for a sore throat
- After taking the pill Yaasmeen started experiencing burning in her throat, eyes and mouth
- She was diagnosed with Steven-Johnson Syndrome - an allergic reaction to the pills
- Her body is now 70% damaged and will now need need physical, occupational, optical, dermatology, nutrition and burn therapy

Yeah I just did some research on the syndrome and saw pics without bandages, pretty horrifying stuff.

Poor girl. I remember hearing about SJS a while back but didn;t realize it was that severe.

Apparently Children's Advil and Children's Motrin have been found to be the cause for several cases in the US, including one where the drug company (Pfizer) had to pay out $64 to one girl.
