NI Replika (free download) problem
i've been watching video for NI Replika online and it seems like a really great delay but i can't get it to work. is anyone else having the same problem or can help?
i got the download link and serial number via email from them then i installed it. the install appeared to have completed successfully and i saw the .dll file in the correct location. but then i launch Ableton and NI Replika doesn't show up at all, i even tried to do a manual scan for new VST's but it didn't find anything.
i uninstalled/reinstalled but same thing. Ableton doesn't see it at all. i'm running Windows 7 x64, Ableton 9 32-bit and all VST's are 32-bit. anybody else have this problem? bummer, i was really looking forward to trying out this delay.
I still need to install mine. If find any problems and find a fix i'll let you know.

has anyone else had problems with their daw not finding the vst for ni replika? the dll is where it's supposed to be. I read there were problems with the 32bit vst not working on mac but i'm on windows 7 x64, ableton 32bit and it won't recognize that ni replika is installed.
Did you install the licencing utility that comes with it?
It's working fine on both Yosemite OSX and Windows 7 x64 here. There are a bunch of people on KVR that have been having problems with it. I haven't followed the lengthy thread very closely, but AFAIK their hosts are recognizing it, but Replika is freezing their DAWs due to some graphic card/driver issues.

I've been having that issue. Seems to only crop up if I run more than three instances.
i was able to get it to work. Replika installed no problem and the .dll file was where it should be but Ableton wouldn't find the plugin when it'd scan for it. i didn't realize you had to launch the NI Service Center app and activate Replika through that app before Ableton would even be able to find the app. I was expecting Ableton to find the plugin and just run it in demo mode until i enter a license.
i uninstalled all 4 Replika-related apps (Replika, Service Center, and the 2 Microsoft C++ installs that the initial setup had created). then i reinstalled Replika, launched Service Center and activated Replika, then opened Ableton but it still couldn't find Replika. so i uninstalled all 4 Replika-related apps again, searched the C: drive for "replika" and deleted all remnants, searched the registry for "replika" and deleted everything it found. then i reinstalled again and followed the same procedure i mentioned in this 2nd paragraph, voi la. now Ableton is finding it.
i wanted to post this in case anyone else has the same problem i did. it seems like there are other Replika issues that alot of people are running into, it is a brand new app after all, but this particular issue i had wouldn't allow me to try Replika at all. in the process of trying to figure out what the problem is, i said screw it and deleted the installer. then the next day i got a 2nd wind and took another stab at it. i think it's crazy that you can't run Replika in demo mode, it won't work without running the Service Center and activating it with a serial.
