What do you guys think the most popular (overplayed song) in clubs/Raves rite now?

I think everyone would have to agree that Fatboy Slim's Star 69 tops the list.. I mean Ive heard this song played from almost every single DJ.. Its almost a guareentee that ull hear this song if you go clubbing/raving.. Ive heard it at least twice in one nite since january... and for Everyone that went to Ultra prolly heard it 10 times! =P

Also, seems Every trance DJ spins Schiller- Das Glokenspiel at least somewhere in their set.. Agree? =)

Actually, I think it's not a great song if played on your CD player or computer.. It sounds awesome in a club, but a little flat elsewhere. You have to be really "in the zone" to really appreciate it. Until I heard it at a club, I didn't like it.

I have to agree that tiesto - flight 643 is an awesome tune to just drift off to.
I hear ian vandahl - castles in the sky and fatboy slim a lot too in the clubs.

...really good. (sorry about that) I am so sick of Sandstorm, Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk. But most of the people around here have no clue what trance really is and they spin the obvious just because it is expected by the audience and it does not involve any risk on behalf of the dj. For example I heard Alice Deejay, Zombie Nation, Toca Me, ATB (9pm) and Paula Cole(I believe in love) at a club and everyone went nuts. What is wrong with this? Don't people know?

yeah i hear what cha mean. though, goin' nuts to stuff by darude is alright, i am totally sick of his tracks but if it were IN a club...i'd still go nuts to it. just because it sounds 'different' in the club atmosphere with the crowd and everything (and depends on the dj spinnin' it too).

AGGGG I cant stand Star 69, I find it so annoying. Thankfully I live I Vancouver and its never played here. Das Glockenspiel is never played here either, in fact I have never heard those two tracks played at a party in Van since they came out and I party every weekend. I find myself hearing Push - Strange World all the time...at least once a night. Dont ask me why but that tranc mix of destinys child is played ALL the time, I heard it 3 times last weekend....that track makes me want to eat nails.

I couldn't agree with you more. That is the WORST song that he ever came out with. I am so disappointed in Fatboy Slim's new album. On a scale of 1-10 I think I'd give it a 1. If his name wasn't Fatboy Slim the song wouldn't have gone anywhere

I have to agree that all the trance songs gone pop can be annoying, but you have to understand that a lot of the artists out there are still trying to make a living, and you can't blame them for generating a popular tune. I listen to Darude and Zombie Nation for the same reason I listen to PvD, Tiesto, and Oakenfold, because I like their stuff, not because they're popular. You have to admit though, when Sandstorm starts up, and the crowd goes crazy, it's just awesome.
